Syntheses, Structures and Reactivity of New Intramolecularly Coordinated Tin Alkoxides Based on an Enantiopure Ephedrine Derivative

The syntheses of the tin compounds [LSn]2 (2), spiro-L2Sn (3), [LSnW(CO)5]2 (4), [LSnBr2]2 (5), spiro-L2Sn·SnBr4 (6) and LSn[OC(O)Ph]2 (8), where L = MeN(CH2CMe2O)[(S)-CH(Me)-(R)-CH(Ph)O], and (Ph4P)2SnBr6 (7) are reported. The compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, multinuclear NMR spectroscopy including 119Sn cross polarisation–magic angle spinning NMR (CP–MAS) (2, 3–6), electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (2–4) and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis (2, 2·C7H8, 3a, 3b, 4·C7H8, 5, 6·C7H8, 7).

A series of titanium complexes containing a sulfur-bridged chelating bis(phenolato) ligand, Ti{2,2′-S(OC 6 H 2 -4-Me-6- t Bu) 2 }(η 5 -C 5 R 5 )Cl (R=H, Me; R 5 =1,3-(SiMe 3 ) 2 H 3 ), were prepared by the reaction of the dilithium derivative Li 2 [2,2′-S(OC 6 H 2 -4-Me-6- t Bu) 2 ] with Ti(η 5 -C 5 R 5 )Cl 3 . Alkylation of the chloro complexes gave complexes of the type Ti{2,2′-S(OC 6 H 2 -4-Me-6- t Bu) 2 }(η 5 -C 5 R 5 )R′ (R′=Me, CH 2 Ph). The crystal structure of the chloro complex Ti{2,2′-S(OC 6 H 2 -4-Me-6- t Bu) 2 }(η 5 -C 5 H 5 )Cl has been determined by X-ray diffraction and shows a monomeric four-legged piano-stool structure with the sulfur and chlorine atoms in trans positions. …

Pyrenyl substituted 1,8-naphthalimide as a new material for weak efficiency-roll-off red OLEDs: a theoretical and experimental study

Based on the theoretical calculations of excited states and semiconducting properties, a new 1,8-naphthalimide derivative having an electron-donating 1-pyrenyl group at the C-4 position was designed and synthesized. This derivative exhibited an excellent thermal stability and bipolar charge carrier transport ability. It was successfully utilized as a host in red phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes showing an efficient energy transfer from the host to the phosphorescent emitter. The derivative may be a single material electroplex-forming host for PhOLEDs. Die an den Hydroxygruppen acetyl-, pivaloyl- und methylgeschutzten 2-Hydroxy-3-ketoglycale 5a, 5b bzw. 11 werden durch Oxidation der entsprechenden 1-O-Acylglucopyranosen 3a, 3b bzw. 9 an der freien 3-Hydroxygruppe mit Dimethylsulfoxid/Acetanhydrid oder Chlorsulfonylisocyanat hergestellt und charakterisiert. Nur beim Acetylderivat 3a verlaufen die Oxidation und die Eliminierung des 1-Acetyloxysubstituenten in einem Schritt.
