The aim of the study was to investigate how physiotherapy students using a problem-based learning approach develop into experts during higher education, and answers the question: How do physiotherapy students at bachelor’s level understand the problem-based learning approach while learning to become professionals? The Influence of Contextual Aspects in Talent Development: Interaction Between Relative Age and Birthplace Effects in NBA-Drafted Players

The aims of this study were two-fold: (1) to inspect separately for the relative age and birthplace effects for players selected in the National Basketball Association (NBA) draft; (2) to explore the interaction among these factors and analyse this interaction in players' career performance. The database was obtained from the official records of the players (n = 1,738), who were selected during the annual editions of the NBA Draft from 1990 to 2019. Poly(lactic acid) or PLA is currently considered as one of the most promising substitutes of conventional plastics, with low environmental impact, especially for food packaging applications. Nevertheless, some drawbacks, such as high permeability to oxygen, are still limiting its industrial applications. Public-service provision in clientelist political settlements: Lessons from Ghana's urban water sector

The politics of public-service delivery continues to be neglected under the supposedly more context-sensitive post-Washington Consensus. Using interviews and documentary evidence from Ghana, this article provides an account of the networks of political interference and informal practices in Ghana's public water utility. It argues that, in order to understand why private-sector participation succeeds or fails and why similar arrangements have different outcomes across developing countries, we need to examine the effects of the informal institutional context, particularly the country-specific political settlement in which public-service provision operates.

La territorialisation des politiques scolaires : l'exemple des collèges du bassin de Gap

ACL; International audience; Le bassin de Gap connaît un accroissement démographique en milieu périurbain, ce qui nécessite l'analyse de la carte scolaire afin de créer de nouveaux collèges. Ce bassin de population, marqué par des contraintes fortes, est un véritable espace vécu dans le sens où il est structuré par des aires de recrutement résultant des pratiques spatiales des élèves et de leurs familles. Une étude approfondie des structures et des dynamiques spatiales de ce bassin permet de tirer quelques leçons quant au fonctionnement d'un territoire scolaire.
