A future of journalism beyond the objectivity-dialogue divide? : Hybridity in the news of entrepreneurial journalists

As pioneers of new ideas and practices, many entrepreneurial journalists spearhead the change of journalism towards hybridity. By applying appraisal theory, this article examines a hybrid of objectivity and dialogue in daily news articles by five entrepreneurial journalism outlets – Axios, MustRead, National Observer, The Skimm and the Voice of San Diego. For comparative purposes, a dataset from three legacy media outlets was also analysed. The results show that the entrepreneurial journalism outlets employ journalistic dialogue in otherwise stylistically objective news texts notably more often than do legacy media outlets. This study focused on the appropriation of digital technologies by two teachers as an instrument of teaching and instruction in secondary school. We are interested in the teaching trajectory in the transition from traditional practices to hybrid learning contexts. We use mixed methods based on the Grounded Theory and contribution of Theory of Activity and dialogic approach. ”Fare spazio” significa molte cose: dal modo di pensare e costruire il progetto, sino alle necessità del mondo contemporaneo di rispondere alle esigenze di movimenti di popoli e migrazioni. Il saggio affronta la compresenza (o contrapposizione) dei due termini (globale-locale, uniforme-differente) nella cultura e nei fenomeni sociali del nostro tempo, per approdare agli esiti nel progetto di architettura. Il progetto, infatti, avverte e registra i temi della diversità e dell’alterità che conformano la società (dove si rimescolano etnie, culture e tradizioni) multietnica, multiculturale e multireligiosa, rendendosi portatore di valori di condivisione e di pace.

Using Tsetlin Machine to discover interpretable rules in natural language processing applications

Tsetlin Machines (TM) use finite state machines for learning and propositional logic to represent patterns. The resulting pattern recognition approach captures information in the form of conjunctive clauses, thus facilitating human interpretation. In this work, we propose a TM-based approach to three common natural language processing (NLP) tasks, namely, sentiment analysis, semantic relation categorization and identifying entities in multi-turn dialogues. By performing frequent itemset mining on the TM-produced patterns, we show that we can obtain a global and a local interpretation of the learning, one that mimics existing rule-sets or lexicons. Tā pilda dažādas funkcijas, un, tā kā pirmsskolas vecums ir viens no būtiskākajiem cilvēka dzīves posmiem, tieši šajā laikā nepieciešams veltīt bērnam pastiprinātu uzmanību, lai attīstītu un pilnveidotu bērna runas prasmes, tai skaitā, dialogrunu. Lai to panāktu, iespējams izmantot dažādas metodes, tomēr pirmsskolas vecumā par produktīvāko ikvienas prasmes attīstīšanai uzskata tieši rotaļas darbības sekmēšanu.
