In this work the results of experimental and computational study of the title compounds and some ancillary compounds are reported. Two bicyclic pyrazol-1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives were synthesized by reaction between 6-dimethylaminomethylene-3-thioxo-[1,2,4]- triazepin-5-one 1 and several nitrilimines 2a-f to give corresponding spirocycloadducts 3a-f, which undergo a rapid rearrangement leading to the new bicyclic compounds, 4a-f and 5a-f. OBJECTIVE: Mitochondrial adenosine triphosphate-dependent potassium (mitoK ATP ) channels are present in the brain, and several reports have shown their neuroprotective, preconditioning effect against an ischemic insult. The role of mitoK ATP channels in the penumbra area has not been studied thoroughly. In a model of venous ischemia, widespread penumbra-like low flow areas are created, which are susceptible to cortical spreading depression. Abstract Two enantiomerically pure trinuclear compounds of formula (P)-[Mo3S4{(R,R)-Me–BPE}3Br3]Br and (P)-[Mo3Se4{(R,R)-Me–BPE}3Cl3]Cl, (P)-1b.Br and (P)-1c.Cl, respectively, have been synthesized in a good yield and a stereospecific manner by excision of polymeric [Mo3Q7X4]n (Q = S or Se, X = Cl or Br) phases with (R,R)-Me–BPE{1,2-bis[(2R,5R)-2,5-(dimethylphospholan-1-yl)]ethane}. The experimental investigation of the base-catalyzed rearrangements of 3-acylamino-1,2,4-oxadiazoles evidenced a new reaction pathway which competes with the well-known ring-degenerate Boulton- Katritzky rearrangement (BKR). The new reaction consists of a one-atom side-chain rearrangement that is base-activated, occurs at a higher temperature than the BKR, and irreversibly leads to the corresponding 2-acylamino-1,3,4-oxadiazoles. Heterocyclic rings are recognized as key components of many natural, semi-synthetic and synthetic molecules with a broad spectrum of biological activities. Among these molecules, the indole and imidazo[2,1-b][1,3,4]thiadiazole systems have recently been described as useful scaffolds for the design of anticancer agents. Synthesis and antimicrobial screening of tetra Schiff bases of 1,2,4,5-tetra (5-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)benzene

Abstract In the present study, novel tetra Schiff bases were synthesized by condensation of 1,2,4,5-tetra (5-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)benzene with different aromatic aldehydes. The chemical structures were confirmed by means of IR, 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR, and elemental analysis. Eight-membered heterocycles with two heteroatoms in a 1,3-relationship of interest in medicinal chemistry

This chapter deals with 1,3-diheterocines, eight-membered heterocyclic systems with two heteroatoms, N, O and S, in a 1,3 relationship, exhibiting biological properties and exhaustively covers the literature from 2007 to the end of November 2019. The biological results of 1,3-diazocines, 1,3-oxazocines, 1,3-dioxocins and 1,3-thiazocines, that are the largest class of 1,3-diheterocines, were collected together with the few results available for 1,3-oxathiocin and 1,3-dithiocin derivatives at that time.

Reactivity and Selectivity of Ortho-Metalated Rhodium(II) Complexes in C−H Insertion Reactions of α-Diazo Compounds

Regioselective intramolecular C−H insertion reactions of α-diazo β-keto esters and α-diazo ketones are mediated by Rh2[OOCR]4-x[PC]x (x = 1, 2; PC = ortho-metalated phosphine; R = CH3, C3F7). In particular, the intramolecular transformation of 1-diazo-5-methyl-3-propyl-2-hexanone catalyzed by Rh2[OOCCH3]2[PC]2 (PC = (C6H4)P(C6H5)2, head-to-tail (H−T) configuration) afforded only the tertiary C−H insertion product. By comparison, no C−H insertion reaction was promoted by doubly metalated complexes with a head-to-head (H−H) configuration. Rh2[OOCR]3[PC] compounds were found to be less suited for these type of reactions.
