ComPWA: A common amplitude analysis framework for PANDA

A large part of the physics program of the PANDA experiment at FAIR deals with the search for new conventional and exotic hadronic states like e.g. hybrids and glueballs. For many analyses PANDA will need an amplitude analysis, e.g. a partial wave analysis (PWA), to identify possible candidates and for the classification of known states. Therefore, a new, agile and efficient amplitude analysis framework ComPWA is under development. Star-polynomial identities: computing the exponential growth of the codimensions

Abstract Can one compute the exponential rate of growth of the ⁎-codimensions of a PI-algebra with involution ⁎ over a field of characteristic zero? It was shown in [2] that any such algebra A has the same ⁎-identities as the Grassmann envelope of a finite dimensional superalgebra with superinvolution B. Here, by exploiting this result we are able to provide an exact estimate of the exponential rate of growth e x p ⁎ ( A ) of any PI-algebra A with involution. It turns out that e x p ⁎ ( A ) is an integer and, in case the base field is algebraically closed, it coincides with the dimension of an admissible subalgebra of maximal dimension of B.

Abstract Background Enhancing students’ critical thinking (CT) is an essential goal of higher education. Although there are many instruments to assess its cognitive dimension, this is not so in the case of dispositional thinking. Our aim is to examine the psychometric properties of the Spanish version of the Critical Thinking Disposition Scale (CTDS; Sosu, 2013). Many studies investigated cultural differences in values, most notably by Hofstede and Schwarz. Relatively few have focused on virtues, a related and important concept in contemporary social science. The present paper examines the similarities and differences between nations, or blocks of - culturally related - nations on the perceived importance of virtues. Adults (N = 2.809 students) from 14 countries were asked to freely mention which virtues they found important to practice in daily life, and next to rate a list of 15 virtues, which reflect the most frequently mentioned categories in The Netherlands, as found in a previous study. The SO2F2 quasi-spherical top: Correspondence between tensorial and Watson's formalisms

Abstract The SO2F2 quasi-spherical top molecule with C2v symmetry is considered as a distorted spherical top deriving from the SO 4 2 − tetrahedral ion. We present here a detailed correspondence between the tensorial formalism using the Td⊃C2v reorientation and the usual Hamiltonian of Watson. We have also performed ab initio calculations in order to determine the centrifugal distorsion constants in the vibrational ground state.
