Optic pit syndrome

In a study of 15 eyes with optic pits fluorescein angiography revealed that only pits associated with serous detachment of the macular retina showed fluorescence in the late venous phase, while the pits uncomplicated by detachment remained hypofluorescent throughout the test. This finding strongly supports the hypothesis that the subretinal fluid producing the macular detachment originates from leakage of vessels located in the floor of the pit. In addition a high incidence of anomalies was found to be associated with optic pits. Noziedzīgi iegūtu līdzekļu legalizācijas novēršana un terorisma finansēšanas joma ir aktuāla gan starptautiskā līmenī, gan Latvijā, gan Eiropas Savienībā, jo pieaugot globalizācijai pieaug arī iespējas līdzekļiem brīvi pārvietoties globālās finanšu sistēmas ietvaros. Trīsdesmit gadu laikā tā ir ievērojami attīstījusies un paplašinājusies. Vieni no šīs jomas atbildīgajiem subjektiem ir arī neatkarīgo juridisko profesiju pārstāvji, lai arī primāri tas ir attiecināts uz kredītiestādēm un finanšu institūcijām. Darbs aplūko šīs jomas attīstību un neatkarīgo juridisko profesiju lomu tajā ES ietvaros, identificējot problēmjautājumus, kurus vajadzētu risināt, turpinot to attīstīt un uzlabot.
Compact 20-pass thin-disk amplifier insensitive to thermal lensing

We present a multi-pass amplifier which passively compensates for distortions of the spherical phase front occurring in the active medium. The design is based on the Fourier transform propagation which makes the output beam parameters insensitive to variation of thermal lens effects in the active medium. The realized system allows for 20 reflections on the active medium and delivers a small signal gain of 30 with M$^2$ = 1.16. Its novel geometry combining Fourier transform propagations with 4f-imaging stages as well as a compact array of adjustable mirrors allows for a layout with a footprint of 400 mm x 1000 mm.

Pašreizējais pētījums koncentrējas uz jautājuma veidu pētīšanu un analizēšanu Facebook un Twitter lietotāju rokasgrāmatās tiešsaistē, kuri pēc tam tiek salīdzināti starp šīm lietotāju rokasgrāmatām. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir atklāt un salīdzināt jautājuma veidus un to valodas funkcijas, kas tiek lietotas izvēlētajās tiešsaistes lietotāju rokasgrāmatās. Diskursa analīze ir izvēlēta kā empīriskā pētījumu metode, lai izpētītu jautājumu veidus un to valodas funkcijas Facebook un Twitter lietotāju rokasgrāmatās. AbstractThis article investigates the construction of gender identities of Pakistani men and women Facebook users given that Facebook has emerged as the prime social media platform through which Pakistani users interact.
