Por influencia de las teorías freudianas suele decirse que, en el contexto de una orquesta, la batuta representa la virilidad, al ser un elemento usado única y exclusivamente por quien ostenta el liderazgo de aquella. El director, batuta en mano, se transforma en un mediador entre el conjunto musical, la obra y el público. Sin embargo, esta analogía únicamente funciona a nivel de recepción musical y social cuando estamos ante un líder varón. El presente artículo analiza con perspectiva de género el rol del director de orquesta partiendo de su origen, como figura que surge en el siglo XIX y evoluciona hasta la actualidad. L’objectiu d’aquest treball és mostrar una tradició poètica femenina de certamen que ha perviscut al llarg dels segles, tot centrant-nos en el moment de màxim esplendor, el Barroc. La nostra intenció és visibilitzar aquest focus de difusió des de la perspectiva de la creació i la circulació d’alguns dels primers textos impresos atribuïts a les dones en la història de les nostres lletres, amb poesia tant en llengua catalana i castellana com —molt escassament— llatina. Iegūtie starpprodukti tika pakļauti reducēšanas reakcijai un iekšmolekulārai ciklizācijai ar eksometilēn grupu saturošo 2-pirolidonu veidošanu. The fibularis tertius muscle (FTM) is a rare anatomic variation. The prevalence of this exclusively human structure, which is found in the anterior compartment of the leg, is often underestimated, and it is believed that foot and ankle conditions are more difficult to manage in patients with an FTM. The aim of this study was to assess the presence of the FTM palpation and determine whether its presence is associated with an individual’s sex, because the exact prevalence in males and females is unclear. Abstract Objectives This study evaluated the emergence of mutations associated with integrase strand transfer inhibitors (INSTI) resistance (INSTI-RMs) and the integrase evolution in human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infected patients treated with this drug class. Methods The emergence of INSTI-RMs and integrase evolution (estimated as genetic distance between integrase sequences under INSTI treatment and before INSTI treatment) were evaluated in 107 INSTI-naive patients (19 drug-naive and 88 drug-experienced) with two plasma genotypic resistance tests: one before INSTI treatment and one under INSTI treatment. Prenatal ambient air pollution exposure, infant growth and placental mitochondrial DNA content in the INMA birth cohort

Background: The association between prenatal air pollution exposure and postnatal growth has hardly been explored. Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA), as a marker of oxidative stress, and growth at birth can play an intermediate role in this association. Objective: In a subset of the Spanish birth cohort INMA we assessed first whether prenatal nitrogen dioxide (NO2) exposure is associated with infant growth. Secondly, we evaluated whether growth at birth (length and weight) could play a mediating role in this association.
