Este artículo se ocupa de los géneros literarios desde un punto de vista etnolingüístico. Los acercamientos habituales a este problema consideran los géneros literarios como modalidades de la literatura en las que se evidencian determinadas actitudes de los participantes: así, la poesía destacaría la contribución del hablante, el drama la del oyente y la narrativa aspiraría a reflejar el mundo exterior. Nuestro trabajo tiene como objetivo llamar la atención sobre la importancia de recuperar la literatura traducida no editada en España en aras de una mayor exhaustividad a la hora de escribir la historia de la traducción. En este contexto, nos referimos a aquellas traducciones de obras teatrales austriacas que llegan a nuestro país de forma efímera a través de sus distintas representaciones, por lo que estas se convierten en el único medio de recepción. It focuses upon thematic and aesthetic patterns of Baltic drama during this time period which is further subdivided into two parts, the first and the second half of the 20th century. The article deals with some case studies on theatrical spectacles with music, as the “mascherate” composed by Orazio Vecchi in Modena. Further, it examines some excerpts of the sixteenth-century Italian polyphony, which have not written for the stage, thus recreating the musical landscape inspired by popular songs and the onomatopoeic lexicon drawn from pastoral dramas and comedies before Vecchi’s "Amphiparnaso" (1597). Lope defendió la utilidad de la historia llevada a los tablados, la función del teatro en la conservación y creación de una memoria colectiva. En el caso de La nueva victoria de don Gonzalo y La nueva victoria del marqués de Santa Cruz, el dramaturgo dramatizó sucesos bélicos acaecidos inmediatamente antes de su composición.
