Goals To explore affective and cognitive status, later in life, in individuals with and without previous history of eating disorder (ED), and also its association with higher risk for metabolic syndrome (MetS) symptomatology. Methods A cross-sectional analysis of 6756 adults, aged 55-75 years with overweight/obesity and MetS participating in the Predimed-Plus study was conducted. Participants completed self-reported questionnaires to examine lifetime history of ED, according to DSM-5 criteria, and other psychopathological and neurocognitive factors. Identification and quantitation of tocopherols, carotenoids and triglycerides in edible Pistacia lentiscus oil from Tunisia

International audience; The fruits of Pistacia lentiscus are a source of a fixed oil used in some forested areas for culinary purposes and in traditional medicines. The aim of this study was to evaluate the levels of tocopherols, carotenoids and triglycerides in this oil using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The results demonstrated the presence of two vitamin E isomers; α- and γ-tocopherols, at respective concentrations of 119 mg and 23 mg per kg of oil. β-carotene, lutein and zeaxanthin were the principal carotenoid molecules identified. β-carotene was the main molecule present, with a level of 6.13 mg/kg oil. Celem badania było sprawdzenie związków pomiędzy cechami temperamentu wyodrębnionymi przez Pawłowa a preferencjami utworów składających się z określonych elementów muzycznych. W badaniu wzięło udział 145 studentów, w wieku 19-26 lat. W celu określenia cech temperamentu badani wypełnili Kwestionariusz Temperamentu PTS. W celu określenia preferowanego utworu badani wypełnili Kwestionariusz Preferencji Muzycznych. Crop type and altitude are the main drivers of species composition of arable weed vegetation in Tajikistan

Summary The influence of broad-scale environmental factors on the species composition of segetal weed communities in Tajikistan was investigated. The research was conducted throughout the country, analysing plots of root crops as well as cereals from all phytogeographical regions of Tajikistan, with the exception of the eastern Pamir. The study was based on 440 phytosociological relevees sampled between 2009 and 2013 and analysed using direct and indirect ordinations.
