Search for magnetically-induced signatures in the arrival directions of ultra-high-energy cosmic rays measured at the Pierre Auger Observatory

We search for signals of magnetically-induced effects in the arrival directions of ultra-high-energy cosmic rays detected at the Pierre Auger Observatory. We apply two different methods. One is a search for sets of events that show a correlation between their arrival direction and the inverse of their energy, which would be expected if they come from the same point-like source, they have the same electric charge and their deflection is relatively small and coherent. We refer to these sets of events as "multiplets". The second method, called "thrust", is a principal axis analysis aimed to detect the elongated patterns in a region of interest. Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is thought to alter the baroreflex control of arterial pressure. We tested this hypothesis investigating the changes of the cardiovascular response after AMI in comparison with young and old healthy controls studied at rest and during head-up tilt, using causal and non-causal frequency domain measures of the baroreflex sensitivity. Steering of a Sub-GeV electron beam through planar channeling enhanced by rechanneling

We report the observation of efficient steering of a 855 MeV electron beam at MAMI (MAinzer MIkrotron) facilities by means of planar channeling and volume reflection in a bent silicon crystal. A $30.5\text{ }\text{ }\ensuremath{\mu}\mathrm{m}$ thick plate of (211) oriented Si was bent to cause quasimosaic deformation of the (111) crystallographic planes, which were used for coherent interaction with the electron beam. The experimental results are analogous to those recorded some years ago at energy higher than 100 GeV, which is the only comparable study to date. Pro gradu -tutkimuksessani tutkin yli 60-vuotiaiden lonkkamurtumapotilaiden elämäntilannetta ja kuntoutuskokemuksia toimijuusnäkökulmasta. Tutkimukseni teoreettisen viitekehyksen muodostavat Anthony Giddensin strukturaatioteorian tarkastelu yhdessä Jyrki Jyrkämän toimijuusviitekehyksen eri ulottuvuuksien, kuten elämänkulku, pakot, välttämättömyydet, esteet ja mahdollisuudet ja tulevaisuuden odotukset – kanssa. Il Dictionnaire de Littérature di Sabatier de Castres (1770) è considerata la prima opera ad aver fatto uso del sintagma "dizionario di letteratura". L'aspetto innovativo di questo lavoro è tuttavia alquanto limitato a causa della sua vocazione didattica, che lo accomuna a un altro dizionario di Sabatier: il Dictionnaire des Passions, des Vertus et des Vices (1769).
