AbstractIt has repeatedly been found that temperamental inhibition and low academic achievement are associated with each other: children with cautious and wary or shy behaviour are at risk for low academic achievement. Several suggestions about the mechanism behind this association have been made, these highlighting for example, the fewer learning opportunities of cautious and wary children and more negative interaction between teachers and inhibited children. Azobenzolu saturošs molekulārais stikls kā optiskā ieraksta materiāls

Šajā darbā tika pētīti fotoinducētie procesi azobenzolu saturošā molekulārā stiklā ar nosaukumu K-RJ-8, sintezēts Rīgas Tehniskajā universitātē. Azobenzolu saturošiem savienojumiem raksturīga optiski ierosināma izomerizācija. Šī procesa laikā molekulas var tikt orientētas attiecībā pret ierosinošās gaismas polarizāciju. Rezultātā materiālā rodas anizotropija, kas izpaužas kā dihroisms un dubultlaušana, kā arī var tikt novērota makroskopiska masas pārbīde. Azobenzolu saturošos molekulāros stiklos orientēšanās un materiāla pārvietošanās tiek atvieglota, jo daļiņu ģeometriskā forma kavē kristalizācijas procesus. Predicting COVID-19 booster vaccine intentions.

Achieving broad immunity through vaccination is a cornerstone strategy for long-term management of COVID-19 infections, particularly the prevention of serious cases and hospitalizations. Evidence that vaccine-induced immunity wanes over time points to the need for COVID-19 booster vaccines, and maximum compliance is required to maintain population-level immunity. Successful language learning depends crucially on the activity and initiative of the learner (van Lier 2008: 163). However, before a learner engages their agentic resources and chooses to exercise their agency in a particular learning context, they have to hold a personal sense of agency – a belief that their behaviour can make a difference to their learning in that setting. The first purpuse of this investigation was to study the effects of sex and grade level on secondary students’ beliefs about epistemology and problem solving. The second purpuse was to analyze the contribution of both belief systems, grade level, and sex to problem solving achievement. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot iracionālo pārliecību, darba pašefektivitātes un uztvertā stresa saistību organizāciju vidē. Veicot regresijas un korelāciju analīzi, tika apskatīta darba pašefektivitātes un uztvertā stresa skalu saistība ar iracionalitātes skalām. Pētījumā piedalījās 402 respondenti (319 sievietes un 83 vīrieši), vidējais vecums izlasē bija 28,09 gadi (SD=10,29).
