EL SISTEMA DE PROTECCIÓN AL MENOR EN ESPAÑA:

2019

Early stages of beta2-microglobulin aggregation and the inhibiting action of alphaB-crystallin

2008

The interest of nucleation of protein crystals and aggregates (including oligomerization) spans from basic physics theory all the way to biophysics, nanophysics, clinical sciences, biotechnologies, food technologies and polymer-solvent interactions. Understanding nucleation within a theoretical framework capable of providing quantitative predictions and control of nucleation rates, or even the very occurrence of crystallization, is a long-sought goal of remarkable relevance to each of the above fields. A large amount of work has been aimed at such goal, but success has been so far rather limited. Work at our laboratory has more recently highlighted a direct link between nucleation rates and…

2022

The recent transformations in the labor market and the current political and economic scenarios have profoundly changed the concept of job quality compared to the past. As a result, men and women live differently their work experience and it is difficult to distinguish a job “of high quality” from one that is not. Although, according to official statistics, there are still strong disparities between men and women in the workplace in Italy, Italian female workers declare themselves to be quite satisfied with their jobs. So, how can be explained what has been called a “gender paradox”? This paper examines the relationship between job satisfaction and gender in Italy. The reading of the phenom…

A Framework for Opening Data and Creating Advanced Services in the Health and Social Fields

2016

Open data is publicly available data that can be universally and readily accessed, used, and redistributed. Open data holds particular potential in the health and social sectors but, presently, health and social data are often published in a ‘closed’ format. There are different tools that allow to ‘open’ data, clean, structure and process them in order to elaborate them and build advanced services but, unfortunately, there is no single tool that can be used to perform all different tasks. We believe that the availability of Open Data in the health and social fields should be greatly increased and a way for creating new health and social services should be provided. In this paper, we present …

On Gelfand-Mazur Theorem

2015

From a suitable extension of the notion of spectrum drew from normed algebra theory, it will be possible, among other things, to provide some generalizations of the well-known Gelfand-Mazur theorem. In this brief research report, we wish to pursue one of these, as achieved in I,4.

Where Alonso meets Sierpinski: an urban economic model of a fractal metropolitan area

2004
