Venäläisiin arkistolähteisiin pohjaavassa väitöstutkimuksessaan Simo Mikkonen käsittelee Neuvostoliiton poliittisen eliitin ja taiteilijoiden keskinäisiä suhteita 1930-luvulla. Ajanjakso muistetaan Stalinin valtaannoususta ja joukkoterrorista. Taiteiden osalta on puhuttu taiteellisen vapauden alistamisesta poliittisiin päämääriin puolueen pakkokeinojen ja vainon avulla. Mikkonen osoittaa käsityksen osin virheelliseksi: yhtään eturivin säveltäjää ei terrorin aikana lähetetty vankileireille, teloituksista puhumattakaan. Systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA) is an autoinflammatory disease characterised by fever and arthritis. We describe the case of a 14-year-old girl hospitalised with fever associated with rash, myalgia, arthralgia and polyarticular involvement. Examinations revealed increased levels of C-reactive protein, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, ferritin, triglycerides, leukocytes, neutrophils, lactate dehydrogenase, fibrinogen, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and γ-glutamyl transferase (GGT). Eponihijs un kutikula bieži tiek maldīgi uztverti kā ekvavilentas naga vienības daļas. Nepareizi veikta manikīra procedūra, kuras laikā tiek apgriezts eponihijs, var izraisīt nagu infekciju vai vīrusu slimību. Šī darba mērķis ir izprast nagu kopšanas tendences Latvijā un noskaidrot manikīra meistaru un viņu klientu, kā arī aptiekās strādājošo farmācijas speciālistu izpratni par naga vienības anatomiju un nekorekti veiktas manikīra procedūras sekām. Pētījumam tika izmantota anketēšana un saņemtas 307 derīgas anketas. En el presente trabajo se ha estudiado la modificación de silicatos laminares del tipo montmorillonita-Na+ mediante macromoléculas orgánicas con el objetivo de tener una buena compatibilidad con la matriz epoxi y con ello mejorar sus propiedades mecánicas. Para ello, se han sintetizado varias moléculas orgánicas a partir de aminas y se han incorporado diferentes grupos funcionales. Mitruma ietekme uz epoksīda sveķu un oglekļa nanocaurulīšu kompozīta materiāla fizikālajām īpašībām

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot mitruma ietekmi uz epoksīda sveķu un ONC nanokompozītmateriāla mehāniskajām īpašībām atkarībā no ONC masas koncentrācijas. Darba gaitā ir izveidoti jauni epoksīda sveķu un ONC nanokompozīta paraugi vairākās masas koncentrācijās. Paraugi testēti, veicot kvazistatiskās vienass stiepes eksperimentus līdz parauga sabrukšanai. Blīvums noteikts ar hidrostatiskās svēršanas metodi. Mitruma ietekmes novērtēšanai uz nanokompozīta mehāniskajām īpašībām izmantoti tādu pašu epoksīda sveķu paraugi, kas 32 mēnešus tika turēti 29% un 90% atmosfēras mitrumos.
