Purpose To assess the intrasession and intersession precision of higher-order aberrations (HOAs) measured using a commercial Hartmann-Shack wavefront sensor (Zywave; Bausch & Lomb) in refractive surgery candidates. Design Prospective, experimental study of a device. Methods To analyze intrasession repeatability, 1 experienced examiner measured 30 healthy eyes 5 times successively. El objetivo de este estudio es describir y analizar las interpretaciones de los términos literales algebraicos que realiza una muestra de 27 alumnos y alumnas entre 15 y 16 años de un instituto de la ciudad de Valencia. Se les administró un test basado en investigaciones del Dr. Küchemann entre finales de los años 70 y principios de los años 80. Se realizó un análisis detallado de las dificultades y errores que presentaron así como de alguno de los ítems que se utilizaron para identificar dichas interpretaciones. Abstract Motivation K-mers along with their frequency have served as an elementary building block for error correction, repeat detection, multiple sequence alignment, genome assembly, etc., attracting intensive studies in k-mer counting. However, the output of k-mer counters itself is large; very often, it is too large to fit into main memory, leading to highly narrowed usability. Results We introduce a novel idea of encoding k-mers as well as their frequency, achieving good memory saving and retrieval efficiency. PURPOSE: To evaluate the results of AcrySof toric intraocular lens (IOL) (Alcon) implantation to correct preexisting astigmatism in patients having cataract surgery. SETTING: Ophthalmology Service, Donostia Hospital, San Sebastian, Spain. METHODS: This prospective observational study included 30 eyes of 15 consecutive patients with more than 1.00 diopter (D) of preexisting corneal astigmatism having cataract surgery. After the attack many of the survivors told stories of how strangers spontaneous had helped and cared for each other.
