Wintertime Airborne Measurements of Ice Nucleating Particles in the High Arctic: A Hint to a Marine, Biogenic Source for Ice Nucleating Particles

Ice nucleating particles (INPs) affect the radiative properties of cold clouds. Knowledge concerning their concentration above ground level and their potential sources is scarce. Here we present the first highly temperature resolved ice nucleation spectra of airborne samples from an aircraft campaign during late winter in 2018. Most INP spectra featured low concentration levels (<3 · 10−4 L−1 at −15°C). −2 −1 However, we also found INP concentrations of up to 1.8·10 L at −15°C and freezing onsets as high as −7.5°C for samples mainly from the marine boundary layer. La reciente construcción de una epidemia de obesidad global favorece que -además de ser estéticamente deseable- la delgadez se considere autoevidencia del estado de salud del individuo y marca de moralidad. En esta autoetnografía reflexiono sobre mi vivencia de ser gorda desde la infancia hasta la adultez, desde un enfoque sociológico feminista. La imposición cultural de la delgadez y la gordofobia alimentaron sentimientos de incapacidad, inadecuación corporal y sufrimiento psicológico que promovieron conductas alimentarias problemáticas. Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 46 lapām. Tas satur 14 attēlus, 8 tabulas un 80 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Mērķis bija izvērtēt verģences adaptācijas ietekmi uz heteroforiju novērtējumu un prizmu adaptācijas testa pielietojumu klīniskajā praksē. Pirmajā daļā 40 dalībniekiem tika novērtētas heteroforija izmaiņas 2 minūšu laikā pēc disociācijas. Otrajā daļā tika novērtēta verģences adaptācija, izmantojot prizmu adaptācijas testu. Rezultāti parādīja, ka heteroforijas lielumu būtiski ietekmē disociācijas ilgums. Dalībniekiem ar diagnosticētu verģences anomāliju novēroja samazinātu verģences adaptāciju. Gas-Phase Hydrogenation of Propionitrile Catalyzed by LnCu2 (Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd)

The hydrogenation of propionitrile over binary copper−lanthanide intermetallic compounds (LnCu2, Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd) was studied in the gas phase. The results show that the reaction main product is the primary amine, the n-propylamine. To our knowledge, it is the first time that such behavior is reported for copper catalysts.

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot sakarības starp intuitīvu ēšanu, ĶMI un ēšanas pārliecībām sieviešu izlasē (N=514) un noskaidrot, vai pastāv atšķirības starp gados jaunākām (18-40) sievietēm (n=259) un gados vecākām (41-69) sievietēm (n=255). Pētījumā tika izmantotas intuitīvas ēšanas skala - 2 un ēšanas pārliecību aptauja. Dioxidomolybdenum(VI) and –tungsten(VI) complexes with tetradentate amino bisphenolates as catalysts for epoxidation

Sixteen molybdenum and tungsten complexes with tripodal or linear tetradentate amino bisphenol ligands were studied as catalysts for the epoxidation of cis-cyclooctene, 1-octene, styrene, limonene and α-terpineol. These complexes can be divided into different categories upon key features, i.e. central metal (Mo versus W), side-arm donor (O versus N), hybridization of the N-donor (pyridine versus amine), ligand geometry (tripodal versus linear diamine) and sterical hindrance (Me versus tert-Bu substituents in the phenol part).
