The role of digital mediation devices in the satisfaction of art museum audiences

The effects of «self-service technologies» (SST) (Curran and Meuter 2005) on the value and satisfaction of service experience (Lin and Hsieh 2007; Mencarelli and Rivière 2014; Meuter et al. 2003) have been little studied in the arts and culture field. The research explores the effects of the use of a digital mediation device on the museum experience and on the overall satisfaction of the public. The results of the analysis of 916 questionnaires collected from visitors to the Louvre Lens museum show that the use of a digital mediation device during the museum visit experience does not significantly impact overall public satisfaction with the visit.
Examining the relationships between teacher self-efficacy, professional learning community, and experiential learning in Japan

This study investigated the relationships between professional learning communities (PLCs), teacher self-efficacy, and experiential learning. A conceptual model that connects PLC components, including shared vision, interactive reflection, and collegiality, to teacher self-efficacy was proposed, as mediated by experiential learning. The data comprised 3,604 teachers from 204 primary schools and 787 teachers from 90 lower secondary schools in Japan. El propósito de esta propuesta didáctica consiste en trabajar las cuatro destrezas de los estudiantes a través de fake news, haciendo especial hincapié en la expresión y comprensión escrita, al tiempo que se desarrolla la competencia informacional de los discentes. En cuanto al trabajo de la expresión escrita, este se centrará principalmente en la composición de noticias falsas, tanto de forma individual como colaborativa, empleando para ello procesadores de texto en línea y la autocorrección mediante retroalimentación indirecta.

How Islamic are young Muslim people’s poems?

In this article, I investigate poetry written by two young Muslim people during their spare time. Adopting Shahab Ahmed’s (2016) understanding of Islamic in its plenitude and complexity, I ask how Islamic their texts are. The participants, Neda and Mohammed (both pseudonyms), grew up in Islamic countries where they were socialised in faith literacy practices, including practices around sacred and devotional texts, before moving to Norway in their teens.
