This thesis examines the concepts of happiness, unhappiness and well-being developed by philosopher Daniel Haybron in his book The Pursuit of Unhappiness. The central thesis of this book is that human beings are not psychologically well-adapted to live in liberal societies, which are understood in this approach as option-rich environments. According to Haybron, in liberal societies people have freedom to choose whatever they want from a myriad of options in the pursuit of happiness. This condition, however, makes people prone to committing serious mistakes in choosing the options that are prudentially good for them. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on selvittää, millaisia palvelukokonaisuuksia esiopetusikäisten opetuksen ja hoidon järjestelyt Suomessa muodostavat sekä tarkastella niitä lasten hyvinvoinnin sekä keskinäisen yhdenvertaisuuden näkökulmista. Hyvinvoinnin kuvaajina käytetään vuorovaikutukseen vaikuttavia tekijöitä sekä opetuksen ja hoidon pysyvyyttä. Tutkimukseen haastateltiin puhelimitse varhaiskasvatuksen esimiehiä kymmenessä eri kunnassa. International audience; Objective: At present emotional experience and implicit emotion regulation (IER) abilities are mainly assessed though self -reports, which are subjected to several biases. The aim of the present studies was to validate the Clock'N test, a recently developed time estimation task employing emotional priming to assess implicitly emotional reactivity and IER. Myndighetene formulerte målet om et kjønnsblandet arbeidsliv for ti år siden. Graden av måloppnåelse for enkelte yrkesgrupper er noe belyst, men det finnes lite kjønnsspesifikk forskning innen vernepleieryrket. Formålet med denne studien har vært å undersøke og beskrive hva som kjennetegner mannlige vernepleiere og deres yrkesvalg. I tillegg har vi undersøkt hvilke faktorer hos menn som har sammenheng med å ta et bevisst valg om å bli vernepleier. Resultatene er basert på data fra SSB og en spørreundersøkelse blant mannlige vernepleiere (n=487). Tall fra SSB tyder på at aldersfordelingen blant mannlige vernepleiere kan være i endring. This paper deals with social media in building experts’ professional images. In the theoretical part, online communities are discussed in the light of the paper’s topic. The study relies on technological adoption models, and in particular, the UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) 2 model. In the empirical part, the use of LinkedIn was analyzed as the major tool for professional networking. Our research results suggest that the use of LinkedIn has been initiated mostly by invitation or encouragement of another user.
