Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to provide insights into the utilization and goals of digital marketing, and examines factors that influence the adoption and use of digital marketing channels in SMEs. Design/methodology/approach – The data comprises semi-structured theme interviews in SMEs among 16 managers and 421 survey respondents in Central Finland. Findings – The results of this study reveal that SMEs seem not use the full potential of the new digital tools, and so are not deriving benefit from the opportunities they provide. Il presente lavoro ha l’obiettivo di tradurre, adattare e validare la versione italiana dell’Adolescent Family Process (AFP), strumento finalizzato a valutare la vicinanza genito-riale, il supporto, il monitoraggio, la comunicazione, il conflitto e l’approvazione dei pari. Le proprietà psicometriche dell’adattamento dell’AFP sono state indagate attraverso un campione non clinico di emerging adult italiani (n = 349). The profiling of emerging organic pollutants present in sludge and generated during wastewater treatment is much more limited than in water. This is mainly due to the difficulty of sludge analysis because of its high content of organic matter and interfering compounds. In this study, a generic extraction method using a mixture of buffered water (pH 4.1) and solid phase extraction (SPE) clean-up was applied to samples of sludge obtained in different treatment plants. The purpose of this chapter is to address the issue of national translations of international influences and trends in higher education systems, as well as resistance to such paradigms. Three emerging countries, that is, Brazil, Russia, and Turkey, with very different geographical and historical contexts, will be considered as case studies.
