This article is looking at the causes of the low effectiveness of educational investment in Subsaharan Africa, both at the micro level (effect on labour productivity), and at the macro level (effect on the rate of economic growth). Several recent empirical studies have shown that education impact is systematically weaker in this region than in the rest of the world, and even sometimes negative, as in the case of agricultural productivity. Dabei soll festgestellt werden, ob besser ausgebildete Landwirte effizienter als weniger gut ausgebildete sind. La presencialidad obligatoria en Educación Superior y el creciente número de estudiantes con compromisos familiares justifican la necesidad de conocer las opiniones del alumnado con respecto a la conciliación estudiantil-familiar en el contexto universitario. Se adopta una metodología cualitativa mediante narrativas. Participan de la investigación 27 estudiantes de la Universitat de València y 46 de la Universidad de Alicante, del Grado en Maestro de Educación Primaria. On the dynamics of learning in elementary schools. - The statistical results presented in this paper are based on data from a longitudinal survey of elementary school children in the Dijon area. They provide strong support for the hypothesis — which stresses the cumulative aspect of learning, predicting that better mastery of concepts and higher levels of initial learning are inputs which aid in further acquisition of learning — indicating that differences in learning in grade 1 that are attributable to pedagogical inputs exert a large and statistically significant effect on learning in grades 2 and 3.

This paper examines the situation of classroom assistants who were recruited three years ago in French schools. This research took place in 150 schools (academy of Burgundy) in which two age groups (8 and 10) were assessed both at the begining and the end of the school year. It concerned a large sample of classroom assistants (150) whose timetables have been collected to know precisely how their time is used in schools and how it may influence students achievement. First of all, the main results show that classroom assistants take part in a lot of varied activities, especially in academic fields.
