Artikkelissa tarkastelemme, millaista funktioltaan konkreettisten ja abstraktien paikallissijojen kaytto on oppijansuomessa. Tutkimuksen lahtokohtana on Eurooppalainen viitekehys: kielten oppiminen, opettaminen, arviointi (2003, tasta lahtien EVK) ja sen kielitaitotasot A1–C2. Tavoitteena on selvittaa, miten eri kielitaitotasoilla olevat oppijat kayttavat suomen paikallissijoja ja millainen on laheisen sukukielen viron mahdollinen vaikutus paikallissijojen kayton kehittymiseen kielitaitotasoittain. Virtual Exchange (VE) brings together groups of learners from different geographical locations and cultural backgrounds to engage them in online intercultural collaboration and interaction. The European Social Fund-supported Portland Partnership project developed a computer-based virtual learning environment (VLE) to benefit students with cognitive and physical disabilities. This system provided students with access to a suite of software programs to teach them basic/essential skills needed for everyday life and to use information and communications technology (ICT). Näiden ympäristöjen suunnittelussa on opetukselle asetettujen vaatimusten huomioimisen lisäksi oleellista ymmärtää yksilön tavat kokea ja ymmärtää käytössä oleva teknologia. Koettu käytettävyys on käsite, joka kuvaa tuote- tai palvelusuunnittelua siltä osin, kuinka ihmiset ymmärtävät käytettävyyttä ja käytön helppoutta. Participation of the young ones in virtual worlds : A look at experiences and motivations

Virtual worlds have become very popular and there have been some attempts to find the motivations and experiences of using them. The aim of this paper is to analyze the motivations and experiences of young ones to utilize virtual worlds. The paper identifies the activities that children perform in virtual worlds, features they use as well as the reasons for abandoning these virtual worlds. The paper presents results of a qualitative field study. The results indicate that features that are liked in the virtual worlds are similar to games. Upon infection, viruses hijack the cell machinery and remodel host cell structures to utilize them for viral proliferation. Since viruses are about a thousand times smaller than their host cells, imaging virus-host interactions at high spatial resolution is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Scouting gross cellular changes with fluorescent microscopy is only possible for well-established viruses, where fluorescent tagging is developed.
