Identity Formation in Adulthood: A Longitudinal Study from Age 27 to 50.

Longitudinal patterns of identity formation were analyzed in a representative cohort group of Finnish men and women born in 1959 across ages 27, 36, 42, and 50. The data were drawn from the Jyväskylä Longitudinal Study of Personality. Identity status (diffused, moratorium, foreclosed, achieved) from all four ages was available for 172 participants (54% females). Marcia’s Identity Status Interview used in this research included five domains: religious beliefs, political identity, occupational career, intimate relationships, and lifestyle. Services for families with low income are often fragmented and poorly integrated, and few coordinated initiatives have been implemented and evaluated in Norway. Robust L1 fixed-order filtering for switched LPV systems with parameter-dependent delays

Abstract This paper is concerned with the L1 fixed-order filtering problem for a class of switched linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems in which the system matrices and the time delays are dependent on the real-time measured parameters. On stability and stabilization of singular uncertain Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems

This paper deals with the problem of robust stability and robust stabilization for a class of continuous-time singular Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems. Sufficient conditions on stability and stabilization are proposed in terms of strict LMI (Linear Matrix Inequality) for uncertain T-S fuzzy models. A differential equation approach to implicit sweeping processes

International audience; In this paper, we study an implicit version of the sweeping process. Based on methods of convex analysis, we prove the equivalence of the implicit sweeping process with a differential equation, which enables us to show the existence and uniqueness of the solution to the implicit sweeping process in a very general framework. Moreover, this equivalence allows us to give a characterization of nonsmooth Lyapunov pairs and invariance for implicit sweeping processes. The results of the paper are illustrated with two applications to quasistatic evolution variational inequalities and electrical circuits.

Finite-time boundedness for uncertain discrete neural networks with time-delays and Markovian jumps

This paper is concerned with stochastic finite-time boundedness analysis for a class of uncertain discrete-time neural networks with Markovian jump parameters and time-delays. The concepts of stochastic finite-time stability and stochastic finite-time boundedness are first given for neural networks. Then, applying the Lyapunov approach and the linear matrix inequality technique, sufficient criteria on stochastic finite-time boundedness are provided for the class of nominal or uncertain discrete-time neural networks with Markovian jump parameters and time-delays. Output-feedback-based H∞ control for vehicle suspension systems with control delay

This paper deals with the problem of output-feedback H∞ control for a class of active quarter-car suspension systems with control delay. The dynamic system of the suspension systems is first formed in terms of the control objectives, i.e., ride comfort, road holding, suspension deflection, and maximum actuator control force. Disturbance tolerance and rejection of discrete switched systems with time-varying delay and saturating actuator

Abstract This paper is concerned with the problems of disturbance tolerance and rejection of discrete switched systems with time-varying delay and saturating actuator. Using the switched Lyapunov function approach, a sufficient condition for the existence of a state feedback controller is proposed such that the disturbance tolerance capability of the closed-loop system is ensured. By solving a convex optimization problem with linear matrix inequality (LMI) constraints, the maximal disturbance tolerance is estimated. In addition, the problem of disturbance rejection of the closed-loop system is solved. Two examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

An LMI approach to vibration control of base-isolated building structures with delayed measurements

In this article, we address a convex optimisation approach to the problem of state-feedback H∞ control design for vibration reduction of base-isolated building structures with delayed measurements, where the delays are time-varying and bounded. An appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and some free-weighting matrices are utilised to establish some delay-range-dependent sufficient conditions for the design of desired controllers in terms of linear matrix inequalities.
