Anthropomorphism and social presence in Human–Virtual service assistant interactions: The role of dialog length and attitudes

In this study, we delve into the perceived quality of recommendations provided by AI-based virtual service assistants (VSAs). Specifically, the role of the social presence of VSAs in influencing recommendation perceptions is investigated. We also explore how the social presence of a VSA is formed and how perceived anthropomorphism plays a vital role in shaping social presence and eventually instilling trust in VSAs among consumers. Papillon- Lefevre Syndrome: Report of a case and its management

Papillon-Lefèvre Syndrome (PLS) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder first described by two French physicians, Papillon and Lefèvre in 1924. The disorder is characterized by diffuse palmoplantar keratoderma and precocious aggressively progressing periodontitis, leading to the premature loss of deciduous and permanent teeth at a very young age. The cutaneous lesions are usually manifested simultaneously with the intra-oral presentations and include keratotic plaques on the palms and soles varying from mild psoriasiform scaly skin to overt hyperkeratosis. Ievads Latvijā viena no izplatītākajām sirds un asinsvadu slimībām ir miokarda infarkts. Balstoties uz Slimību profilakses un kontroles centra datiem, ar infarktu ik gadu Latvijā mirst vairāk nekā 1000 iedzīvotāju. 20% no tiem 2019. gadā bija vecumā līdz 64 gadiem un 80% pēc 64 gadu vecuma. Slimība ir izplatīta dažādās vecuma grupās. Vecuma grupā virs 75 gadu vecuma tā tiek retāk pētīta. Šādi pacienti bieži netiek iekļauti klīniskajos pētījumos. Pacienti vecuma grupā 75+ retāk saņem adekvātu pirmo palīdzību, sakarā ar novēlotu simptomu atpazīstamību vai simptomu citādāku izpausmi vai to neizpausmi. Ievads. Apmēram 15-20% perkutānā koronārā intervence tiek pielietota, lai ārstētu koronāro bifurkāciju bojājumus. Perkutānā koronārā intervence koronāro bifurkāciju ārstēšanas gadījumā tiek uzskatīta par izaicinošu un sarežģītu, kā arī tiek asociēta ar nelabvēlīgākiem intrahospitālajiem un ilgtermiņa iznākumiem, salīdzinājumā ar ne-bifurkāciju bojājumiem. Triterpenes have been reported to induce cell death. One relevant group of this family of compounds is cucurbitacins, which have been studied as inducers of apoptosis in various cancer cell lines. The most significant mechanisms with regard to the apoptotic effects of cucurbitacins are their ability to modify transcriptional activities via nuclear factors or genes and their capability to activate or inhibit pro- or anti-apoptotic proteins. In this review, we give a comprehensive and timely overview of the literature regarding the immunosuppressive activity of artemisinin-type compounds toward inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Abstract Brugada phenocopies (BrP) are clinical entities that present with identical ECG patterns to those of true Brugada Syndrome (BrS) but are elicited by various other clinical circumstances. Our manuscript shows an interesting case of a type-1 Class A BrP in a young patient with diabetic ketoacidosis and hyperkalemia.
