Este trabajo aborda el análisis de los discursos de jóvenes que han tenido dificultades en su itinerario educativo y que han participado en 'itinerarios de segunda oportunidad'. A partir de entrevistas a jóvenes, pretendemos aproximarnos a los argumentos desde los que dan sentido a sus itinerarios académicos y a las decisiones a las que se han enfrentado. Estos argumentos muestran fuertes implicaciones de la posición social de los actores, y están influidos por agentes de la institución educativa y familiar. El objetivo principal de esta tesis consiste en analizar la presencia de María Magdalena en las producciones audiovisuales del periodo comprendido entre 1897 y 2014. Dichas producciones proceden de Europa, Estados Unidos, Canadá y México. El marco metodológico general a partir del que se plantea el análisis es la iconología, entendida como Zwichenraum o tierra de confluencias. En concreto, la noción de continuidad y variación, iniciada por Aby Warburg y continuada por Fritz Saxl, es la principal cuestión teórica en la que se basa la aproximación. This article presents and analyses the findings of a qualitative study about the perceptions expressed by prospective primary teachers of English about integration and response to special educational needs in the mainstream. El objetivo de este trabajo ha sido conocer el pensamiento de los alumnos sobre la Educación Física y sus profesores. Para ello, 788 estudiantes de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria (337 alumnos y 451 alumnas) han respondido a un cuestionario abierto en el que se les preguntaba qué es lo que más y lo que menos les gusta de EF, cómo se imaginan a su profesor/a ideal de EF, y las tres características más importantes que debería tener su profesor o profesora de EF. This work addresses the way in which Argentine Fat Activism has developed, in recent years, the demand for depathologization of fatness, taking elements from critical discourses on the health of fat people to frame them in a perspective typical of the Human Rights. First, the contemporary fat body is described in terms of stigma and discrimination, especially in the health field. Then, they refer to a series of critical positions on the pathologization and medicalization of fatness from the biomedical perspective, Fat Studies and Fat Activism. En este trabajo, se desarrolla el concepto de adaptación cultural, particularmente se aborda la adaptación de los estudiantes extranjeros. Se plantean diferentes modelos explicativos y se comentan diferentes niveles de adaptación. Se trabaja con conceptos como aculturación y estrés por aculturación. Por último, se comentan algunas de las investigaciones que abordaron los factores que favorecen la integración del estudiante extranjero.

Abstract Objectives Reported antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties for one aqueous-ethanolic extract from Thalassia testudinum which grows in the Caribbean Sea compelled us to explore about extract cytotoxic effects. Methods Cell viability was assayed on tumour (HepG2, PC12, Caco-2 and 4T1) and non-tumour (VERO, 3T3, CHO, MCDK and BHK2) cell lines. The extract effects upon primary cultures of rat and human hepatocytes and human lymphocytes were assayed. Background: Diabetes mellitus is a common co-existing disease in the critically ill. Diabetes mellitus may reduce the risk of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), but data from previous studies are conflicting. The objective of this study was to evaluate associations between pre-existing diabetes mellitus and ARDS in critically ill patients with acute hypoxemic respiratory failure (AHRF).
