Effectuation and foreign market entry of entrepreneurial firms

Purpose – The purpose of this study is to examine the decision-making process for entrepreneurial firms when entering foreign markets and how and why they entered those markets. Design/methodology/approach – A nascent theory in entrepreneurship called effectuation is combined with internationalization process theory as the conceptual framework to study decision-making under uncertainty. Prior studies use standard models of box office performance to evaluate sequels’ performance and have mainly compared the box office results of the original movie with those of its sequel. Abstract This paper aims to improve our understanding of the unique phenomenon of market competition, called price wars, as little is known about their nature and how they erupt. More precisely, we offer selected illustrations of the reality of price wars, identify key attributes of price wars, propose a definition of price wars, and offer a conceptual framework in which early warning signals (EWSs) of price wars are distilled and linked to the likelihood and the intensity of such wars. Consumers in Information Technology Enabled Service Encounters: Perceptions and Tradeoffs in Multi-Channel Interactions

This study examines information technology enabled, multi-channel service context from the end-user's perspective and, more specifically, from the perspective of a consumer, in particular the extent to which the multi-channel interaction experience results in consumer satisfaction and any tradeoffs that consumers make in the evaluation of the context of service.
