Resume Cette revue decrit le role de differentes methodes d’imagerie pour evaluer la reponse au traitement dans le cancer du sein. Deux situations sont envisageables : celle de la chimiotherapie neoadjuvante du cancer du sein et celle des metastases. Beaucoup de donnees cliniques sont disponibles pour trois criteres : le volume de la tumeur, la captation du fluorodeoxyglucose mesuree en TEP et la perfusion de la tumeur evaluee soit par IRM dynamique, soit en TEP. La TEP au 2-18F fluoro-2-desoxy-D-glucose (FDG) permet la prediction de la reponse apres une ou deux cures de chimiotherapie. A main problem in oncology is the development of drug-resistance. Some plant-derived lignans are established in cancer therapy, e.g. the semisynthetic epipodophyllotoxins etoposide and teniposide. Their activity is, unfortunately, hampered by the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) efflux transporter, P-glycoprotein. Here, we investigated the bisphenolic honokiol derived from Magnolia officinalis. Vδ2 T lymphocytes recognize nonpeptidic antigens without presentation by MHC molecules and mount both immediate effector functions and memory responses after microbial infection. However, how Vδ2 T cells mediate different facets of a memory response remains unknown. Here, we show that the expression of CD45RA and CD27 antigens defines four subsets of human Vδ2 T cells with distinctive compartmentalization routes. Staphylococcal alpha-toxin is an archetypal killer protein that homo-oligomerizes in target cells to create small transmembrane pores. The membrane-perforating beta-barrel motif is a conserved attack element of cytolysins of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Following the recognition that nucleated cells can survive membrane permeabilization, a profile of abundant transcripts was obtained in transiently perforated keratinocytes.
