Team Identification and Football Culture

The two previous chapters have shown the importance of identification with the main football clubs in Spanish football culture. While the first chapter presented the fact that 66.8 per cent of Spanish adults identify with a football club, the second — among other aspects — offered a description of the way these feelings of identification have evolved during the 20th century.

Data gathered on adolescents and adults from general population, living in Buenos Aires City and its suburban area, as well as on prison inmates and theology students (N: 1715) are presented. Participants answered an open question: Is important for you to be able to forgive? Yes. No. Why? Subjects mostly admit that to forgive is important for them. For theology students forgiveness is a central theme of Christian thinking. A religious dimension is also present among prison inmates who are the only group that relates to forgive with loving someone. Aims and objectives To present results from interviews of older people living in nursing homes, on how they experience freedom. Background We know that freedom is an existential human matter, and research shows that freedom remains important throughout life. Freedom is also important for older people, but further research is needed to determine how these people experience their freedom. The aim is to consider how the interviewees make use of archives to voice their feelings about the past and present in Africa and Europe. This article is an exploration of the ways in which Enlightenment discourse constructed the sentimental and intellectual ‘nature’ of women and of the ways cultivated women could situate themselves within this context. Factors associated with fear of falling among frail older adults

Some factors increase the fear of falling in frail older adults. Our aim is to quantify the influence of these factors. This cross-sectional study involved 229 community-dwelling prefrail and frail older adults aged 70 years and older. Fear of falling was moderate in 38.9% of our sample and high in 12.2%. Higher values were observed in women, those living alone, and those meeting criteria for slowness and feelings of exhaustion.
