Accesibilidad y provisión de servicios de interés general en las áreas rurales de la Unión Europea: un análisis a partir del Eurobarómetro

La finalidad de este trabajo es ofrecer un estado de la cuestión sobre el acceso y provisión de Servicios de Interés General (SeIG) en las áreas rurales de la Unión Europea. Se identifican fuerzas de cambio, oportunidades y dificultades relativas a los SeIG que pueden contribuir a impulsar o ralentizar los procesos de desarrollo rural. Se lleva a cabo una revisión de las principales aproximaciones teóricas y se presentan diversos análisis empíricos a partir de los escasos datos homogéneos disponibles. A partir del conocimiento adquirido se formula un conjunto de reflexiones sobre la función de los SeIG en los procesos de cambio rural en la UE.

Within the last two decades, many studies have addressed the clinical phenomenon of Internet-use disorders, with a particular focus on Internet-gaming disorder. Based on previous theoretical considerations and empirical findings, we suggest an Interaction of Person-Affect-Cognition-Execution (I-PACE) model of specific Internet-use disorders. The I-PACE model is a theoretical framework for the processes underlying the development and maintenance of an addictive use of certain Internet applications or sites promoting gaming, gambling, pornography viewing, shopping, or communication. Regional Studies. This paper employs panel unit root tests to investigate convergence in total factor productivity (TFP) among Italian regions. These tests provide an inference valid in the presence of heterogeneity and cross-sectional dependence, and when the cross-sectional dimension is smaller than the time dimension, allowing the investigation of convergence among different subsets of regions. The role of informal learning in adults' literacy proficiency

This study used the Programme for International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) dataset to examine informal literacy learning’s effects on adults’ literacy proficiency. Also, the factors associated with informal literacy learning at and outside of work were studied. The study participants were Nordic adults aged 35–65 years. The statistical method was regression analysis, and the results indicate that informal literacy activities at work are associated primarily with occupation, and informal literacy activities outside of work with education, parents’ education and gender.
