España ha pasado de una fase de intensa inmigración internacional durante el período de crecimiento económico a otra de re-emigración y retornos de extranjeros (y de emigración de nativos) durante la recesión. En nuestra investigación hemos observado una tendencia opuesta: durante la crisis se ha incrementado significativamente la llegada de inmigrantes procedentes de Italia a la ciudad de Valencia. Se trata de personas económicamente activas, con intención de permanencia, cualificadas y procedentes de regiones con indicadores socioeconómicos superiores a los de la Comunidad Valenciana. Resumen basado en el de la publicación Título, resumen y palabras clave también en inglés Se pretende analizar cómo el Budismo, Judaísmo, Cristianismo e Hinduismo interpretan la figura del inmigrante dentro de su cosmovisión. A partir de la metodología cualitativa de análisis de contenido, se reconoce cómo la naturaleza de estas religiones determina su interpretación del fenómeno de la inmigración. En los resultados, como fruto de los hallazgos encontrados y su comparación, se argumenta que la mediación intercultural se erige en herramienta privilegiada para el encuentro interreligioso y el reconocimiento socioeducativo de la realidad de la inmigración. Proceso migratorio, condiciones laborales y salud en trabajadores inmigrantes en España (proyecto ITSAL)

Objetivo: Describir el proceso migratorio (razones para emigrar, tiempo de residencia), la situación legal y las características personales, laborales y de salud de los inmigrantes con experiencia de trabajo en España. Métodos: Estudio transversal sobre una muestra estratificada por país de origen (Colombia, Ecuador, Marruecos y Rumanía), situación legal y sexo. Entrevista a 2434 trabajadores (57,4% varones). Se analiza la información sobre el proceso migratorio, las condiciones laborales, la situación de salud y las expectativas de vida y trabajo. Comparación de frecuencias por país de origen.
