El trabajo de esta tesis se enmarca dentro del proyecto EventIndex del experimento ATLAS, un gran detector de partı́culas del LHC (Gran Colisionador de Hadrones) en el CERN. El objetivo del proyecto es catalogar todas las colisiones de partı́culas, o eventos, registrados en el detector ATLAS y también simulados a lo largo de sus años de funcionamiento. Con este catálogo se pueden caracterizar los datos a nivel de evento para su búsqueda y localización por parte de los usuarios finales. Elpošanas vingrinājumu ietekme uz stresa sajūtu ķermenī un kodola afektu

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, vai elpošanas vingrinājums palīdz izmainīt uztvertā stresa ķermenī sajūtas un kodola afektu ikdienas situācijā. Eksperimentālā dizaina pētījumā piedalījās 96 Latvijas universitātes studenti, 83,5% no tiem sievietes (n=81), kas randomizēti tika sadalīti kontroles grupā (n=47, 85,1% sievietes) un eksperimentālā grupā (n=49, 83,7% sievietes). Pētījumā tika izmantotas skala „Stresa sajūta ķermenī” (Panasina, 2022) un „Zviedru kodola afekta skala” (Swedish Core Affect Scale SCAS, Vastfjall, Friman, Garing, Kleiner, 2002, adaptācija: Vanags, Raščevska, 2015). AbstractIn the present study, the chemical composition of the essential oils from aerial parts of Centaurea grinensis Reuter (K) collected at Žuta Lova, near Senj (Croatia), and aerial parts (L1) and flowers (L2) of C. apiculata Ledeb. collected near Rebro village, near Breznik town, Znepole Region (Bulgaria), both belonging to subgenus Lopholoma (Cass.) Dobrocz, was evaluated by GC and GC-MS. The main components of K were 4-vinyl guaiacol (21.5%), hexadecanoic acid (16.2%), acetophenone (12.5%). Caryophyllene oxide (15.8%) together with sphathulenol (14.5%) and humulene epoxide II (9.4%) were recognized as the main constituent of both the aerial part (L1) and flowers (L2) of C. apiculata. …

This kind of loss and escalation of dismal emotions related to this event allows us to speak of suffering mental pain. Mourning for the loss of child differs significantly from o ther forms of bemoaning; time is rarely a great healer in this case and a sense of void often continues for the entire lifetime. Parasites, including macroparasites, protists, fungi, bacteria and viruses, can impose a heavy burden upon host animals. However, hosts are not without defences. One aspect of host defence, behavioural avoidance, has been studied in the terrestrial realm for over 50 years, but was first reported from the aquatic environment approximately 20 years ago.
