Maģistra darba tēma ir Donnas Tartas Dadzītis kā 21. gadsmita izaugsmes romāns. Darba mērķis ir analizēt Tartas romānu balstoties uz izaugsmes romāna iezīmēm, lai atklātu, kā romāns atbilst noteiktā žanra prasībām, kā arī kādas tradicionālās žanra iezīmes autore ir saglabājusi un kādas izmainījusi, lai stāsts labāk atbilstu mūsdienu situācijai. Pētījuma rezultāti atklāja, ka, lai gan Donna Tarta ir sekojusi izaugsmes romānu tradīcijām rakstot romānu, autore ir izmainījusi dažus elementus un to pielietojumu. Šādas izmaiņas ne tikai padarījušas darbu aktuālāku 21. gadsimtam un interesantāku lasītājiem, bet arī ļāvušas Tartai atsvaidzināt klasisko žanru.
Multi-Layer Offloading at the Edge for Vehicular Networks

This paper proposes a multi-layer platform for job offloading in vehicular networks. Offloading is performed from vehicles in the Vehicular Domain towards Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) Servers deployed at the edge of the network, and between MEC Servers. Offloading decisions at both domains are challenging for the overall system performance. Optimization at the MEC Layer domain is obtained by model-based Reinforcement Learning, while a strategy to decide the best offloading rate from the Vehicular Domain is defined to achieve the desired trade-off between costs and performance. Numerical analysis shows the achieved performance.

The implementation of algorithms for acoustic source localization on edge platforms for the Internet of Things (IoT) is gaining momentum. Applications based on acoustic monitoring can greatly benefit from efficient implementations of such algorithms, enabling novel services for smart homes and buildings or ambient-assisted living. In this context, this brief proposes extreme low-cost sound source localization system composed of two microphones and the low power microcontroller module ESP32. This research classifies the qualities in the existing music creation software programs that enable them to be operated by young users. This is done through comparison of the literature on musical development of children and the examination of the existing software. For the research were selected three fundamentally different pieces of music creation software that potentially provide a wide variety of features.
