Abstract The unique biological properties of amber are well known. Amber particles that penetrate into the cellular matrix can potentially be used as markers of plant cell biological activity by identification of living cells in flow cytometry. However, there have been no studies on effect of amber particles on plant cells. Solid‐state NMR Spectroscopy of Iodine(I) Complexes

Solid-state NMR has been applied to a series of Barluenga-type iodine(I) [L-I-L]PF6 (L=pyridine, 4-ethylpyridine, 4-dimethylaminopyridine, isoquinoline) complexes as their hexafluorophosphate salts, as well as their respective non-liquid ligands (L), their precursor silver(I) complexes, and the respective N-methylated pyridinium and quinolinium hexafluorophoshate salts. These results are compared and contrasted to the corresponding solution studies and single-crystal X-ray structures. As the first study of its kind on the solid-state NMR behavior of halogen(I) complexes, practical considerations are also discussed to encourage wider utilization of this technique in the future. peerReviewed

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir analizēt tradicionālo smēķēšanas produktu alternatīvu nozares zīmolu “IQOS” un “AirPuf” komunikāciju un iegūt informāciju par to atpazīstamību un attieksmi pilngadību sasniegušo jauniešu auditorijā. Pētījuma izstrādes ietvaros ir veiktas 2 daļēji strukturētās intervijas ar zīmolu komunikācijas pārstāvjiem. Ar kontentanalīzes pētījuma metodi pavisam kopā apskatīti un analīzēti 155 zīmolu “IQOS” un “AirPuf” sociālā tīkla “Facebook” lapu ieraksti, kā arī tika veikta aptauja, kopumā aptaujājot 217 respondentu, tajā skaitā 104 jauniešus. Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare L.) grows in moderate area of the northern hemisphere, in Poland – its range covers the whole country. It appears on the farm wastelands, by roadsides, on enbankments, river banks, forest lips and in open spaces. The present paper has faced the challenge of defining the influence of the environmental conditions on the mineral composition of Tanacetum vulgare leaves. The plants were picked in the blooming period from May to September 2017 in 12 natural environments of their growth and at different contamination levels. Different compounds including toxic heavy metals ions have been used in various industrial branches for ages. Therefore, these compounds are nowadays often identified in the natural environment. Plants usually function like indirect transporters through which heavy metals, in the form of ions, infiltrate from the environment into the human and animals’ food chains. Lineārie jaukto efektu modeļi un to pielietojumi

Bakalaura darbā aplūkota lineāro jaukto efektu modeļu teorija un to praktiskā pielietojuma aspekti datu analīzē. Nereti šādi modeļi tiek pielietoti medicīnas, bioloģijas un valodniecības nozaru pētījumos, ja datos ir atkarīgi novērojumi. Lineāros jaukto efektu modeļos iekļauti fiksētie efekti un gadījuma efekti, kas ņem vērā katra subjekta vai grupas ietekmi uz interesējošo mainīgo. Darbā modeļi pielietoti garengriezuma un atkārtotu mērījumu datu piemēriem. Iegūtais lineāro jaukto efektu modelis salīdzināts ar atkārtotu mērījumu ANOVA testu atkārtotu mērījumu datiem. Tika secināts, ka salīdzinātās metodes darbojas līdzīgi, taču lineāriem jaukto efektu modeļiem ir vairāk priekšrocību.
