Badanie właściwości inkluzyjnych p-tert-butylokaliksarenów metodą inwersyjnej chromatografii gazowej

Metodą QSRR scharakteryzowano właściwości inkluzyjne p-tert-butylokaliksarenów o 4, 6 i 8 merach w cyklu oraz ich octanów, wykorzystując do tego celu inwersyjną chromatografię gazową. W badaniach zastosowano przy tym dwa szeregi homologiczne solutów - alkohole alifatyczne oraz benzen i jego homologi. Stwierdzono, że zdolności inkluzyjne w znacznym stopniu zależą od wymiarów luki molekularnej cyklomeru. Zamiana w kaliksarenach grup wodorotlenowych na octanowe nie wywiera natomiast istotnego wpływu na możliwości tworzenia kompleksów typu gość-gospodarz. Wyniki uzyskane metodą QSRR potwierdzono wyznaczonymi wartościami indeksów Kovátsa.
Badanie metodą inwersyjnej chromatografii gazowej wpływu wielkości podstawnika na właściwości inkluzyjne kaliksarenów

Badano wpływ wielkości alifatycznego podstawnika na zdolności inkluzyjne kaliksarenów {kaliks[4]arenu(K4), p-izopropylokaliks[4]arenu (IPK4) i p-tert-butylokaliks[4]arenu (TBK4)}. Oceny wpływu dokonywano za pomocą metody QSRR przy użyciu inwersyjnej chromatografii gazowej. W charakterze solutów użyto szeregu alifatycznych alkoholi, homologów benzenu i homologów pirydyny. Na podstawie indeksów retencji Kovatsa i wykresów zależności właściwej objętości retencji od temperatury wrzenia [Vg=f(Tw)] stwierdzono, że tylko podstawione kaliksareny wykazują właściwości inkluzyjne w stosunku do niższych alkoholi.

A study attempted to characterize natural waxes used in pictorial works of art was carried out by means of gas chromatography. The analytical treatment requires prior hydrolysis of the waxes to release the fatty acids (FA) (myristic (myr), palmitic (pal), oleic (ole), stearic (ste), araquidic (ara), behenic (beh), lignoceric (lig), cerotic (cer)) from the main esters of the waxes. The formation of volatile derivatives of the fatty acids was carried out by derivatization with ethyl choroformate (ECF). Neutralised mixtures of tall oil-derived fatty acids and resin acids were separately pyrolysed (at 750∘C for 20 s) by pyrolysis gas chromatography with mass-selective and flame ionisation detection (Py-GC/MSD/FID) to clarify their thermochemical behaviour. Abstract This study investigates PAHs indoor emissions from burning decorative candle in an indoor environment because emissions from burning wax in home have rarely been addressed. A total of 12 air samples were collected during the entire burning period of the decorative candles. Particulate and gaseous PAHs emissions were simultaneously measured by passing effluent through a filter (to collect particulate-phase PAHs), a cold trap and ORBO 43 tubes (to capture gaseous-phase PAHs). Biodiesel from vegetable oils has been analyzed and its suitability for internal combustion engines has been assessed. The Standard biofuel’s characteristics have been investigated. Gas chromatography (GC) tests were carried out to characterize the fatty acid behavior. It was found that the mass percentage of saturated fatty acids did not change substantially with time, while unsaturated fatty acids increased with time for both B100 and B30. Tocopherol, fatty acid and phytosterol content in seeds of nine wild taxa of Sicilian Brassica (Cruciferae)

The purpose of this study was to determine tocopherol (Toc), fatty acid and phytosterol content in dry seeds of nine wild taxa of Sicilian Brassica sect. Brassica. Analyses were performed by gas chromatography (GC)-mass spectroscopy (MS). The biochemical analysis of dry seeds showed that in the nine taxa examined, α - and γ -Toc were the major isomers, δ - Toc was present in traces and β -Toc was never found. All taxa had a similar fatty acid composition with C 16:0 (357.2 mg kg − 1 DW), C 18:1 (393.94 mg kg − 1 DW) and C 22:1 (618.29 mg kg − 1 DW) acids present in higher amount. The thermodynamic behavior of the system H2O/BSA was studied at 25 °C within the entire composition range: vapor pressure measurements via head space sampling gas chromatography demonstrate that the attainment of equilibria takes more than one week. A miscibility gap was detected via turbidity and the coexisting phases were analyzed. At 6 °C the two phase region extends from ca. 34 to 40 wt % BSA; it shrinks upon heating. The polymer rich phase is locally ordered, as can be seen under the optical microscope using crossed polarizers. Interactions between non-volatile water-soluble molecules and aroma compounds in Camembert cheese

Abstract Interactions between selected aroma compounds and non-volatile water-soluble molecules were studied using dynamic headspace-gas chromatography. A model water-soluble extract (MWSE), previously constructed in gustatory and physico-chemical accordance with the crude Camembert cheese WSE, allowed the contribution of non-volatiles to the headspace composition of volatile compounds to be assessed. The presence of the MWSE increased the headspace concentration of 2-heptanone, 1-octen-3-ol and 3-methylbutanol, showing that these three volatile compounds were released by MWSE.
