Being a representation of the saint that is portrayed, the holy image is an active presence, and the cult of the saint feeds on pictures whose creation comes from the need for the materialization of the sacred. Throughout the canonization process of Benedict the Moor (1594-1807) images were produced and listed, together with hagiographies, as an expression of the devotion for the Santo Negro. Kielentämisen näkökulmia kuudennen luokan oppilaiden matematiikan sanallisten tehtävien ratkaisuihin

Artikkelissa tarkastellaan kuudennen luokan lopussa oppilaiden tuottamia ratkaisuja kahteen sanalliseen ongelmanratkaisutehtävään. Tutkimuksen toteutti matemaattiseen ajatteluun ja sen kielentämiseen perehtynyt opettaja. Tutkimukseen osallistui 35 kuudennen luokan oppilasta. Tutkimusaineistona olivat oppilaiden kirjalliset ratkaisut kahteen sanalliseen ongelmanratkaisutehtävään. Oppilaat kuvasivat kielentämisen keinoin omaa matemaattista ajatteluaan sekä tehtävien tuottamisessa että ratkaisuprossien avaamisessa. Is a seminar based on student-created screen capture videos a meaningful way of learning?

We ran a problem-based seminar with screen capture videos. The students worked in small groups of two or three students or they completed the coursework individually. In this seminar the students had a workspace in the Optima environment for publishing their coursework videos. At the final phase of the course the students were expected to familiarize themselves with the presentations of other groups. In this paper we analyze the benefit of our problem-based coursework on the web by comparing the different phases of it. After each phase the students were expected to analyze the benefit of it for their learning. peerReviewed
