The paper analyses the possibilities for a Norwegian supplier incorporated into global production networks in the automotive industry to perform knowledge upgrading and innovation activity. A consistent finding is that different departments of the supplier are parts of different types of global network. International audience; This study uses the London Stock Exchange (LSE), forced to demutualize due to major changes in its business environment, notably due to increased competition and technological advances, as field experiment to study corporate governance restructuring to adapt to new market conditions.
