Intervenire in periferia oltre l’emergenza: La riattivazione del campo da bocce nel quartiere CEP di Palermo
Questo articolo ripercorre un’esperienza di rigenerazione urbana realizzata nel quartiere CEP di Palermo nell’ambito del progetto Riconnessioni, finanziato dal Mibact e svoltasi da ottobre 2019 a luglio 2020, a cavallo dell’emergenza sanitaria Covid19. L’obiettivo era di riattivare l’area su cui si trova un campo da bocce in abbandono attraverso tre workshop artistici che hanno permesso di creare, così come auspicato da bando di finanziamento, un vero e proprio “Creative living lab” attraverso il quale potere avere accesso alle dinamiche di funzionamento del quartiere, sperimentare soluzioni spaziali e sociali ed ipotizzare traiettorie di cambiamento. Porównywanie rozliczalności władz na poziomie gminnym - problem pomiaru w świetle doświadczeń z badań w województwie opolskim

Rozliczalność jest jedną z centralnych zasad dobrego rządzenia, a istnienie mechanizmów rozliczalności uznaje się za warunek dobrych rządów. W artykule rozliczalność jest rozpatrywana w kontekście gminnym, a jego celem jest przedstawienie problemów związanych z pomiarem rozliczalności. Zaproponowano również pięć obiektywnych wskaźników poziomu rozliczalności w gminie. Korzystając z doświadczeń badawczych w województwie opolskim, autor dochodzi do wniosku, że choć istnieje wiele mechanizmów rozliczalności władz gminnych, pojawia się problem zdobycia systematycznych danych, które pozwoliłyby na ilościowe różnicowanie gmin pod kątem poziomu rozliczalności. W artykule przedstawiono zarys działalności redakcji czasopisma „Społeczeństwo Otwarte”, wydawanego w latach 1990-1998. Jedynego w owym czasie w kraju, starającego się zagospodarować ten obszar znaczeń, który w polskiej szkole i edukacji realizowanej przez nauczycieli należało łączyć z demokracją, formacją obywatela i nauką o społeczeństwie. Purpose: Social entrepreneurship has become a growing field of research interest. Yet, past research has been held back by the lack of a rigorous measurement instrument. Rather than defining social entrepreneurship as an organizational form that a venture does or does not have, this paper agrees with Dees and Anderson (2006) that the construct is better thought of as a set of practices, processes and behaviors that organizations can engage in to a higher or a lesser degree. The practical implementation of the goals of smart sustainable cities has different forms. This paper explores an example of the Danish smart city Aarhus, through which the so-called ‘Scandinavian third way’ of smart city development is being proposed. The foundations of the ‘third way’ are directly derived from the Scandinavian tradition of cooperation; it is supposed to be an alternative to the more commercial American model and the more centrally-controlled Asian tradition. Social Determinants of Success: Social Media, Corporate Governance and Revenue

This study examined how social media (Twitter and LinkedIn) relates to the operating revenue by investigating the effect of the use of social media by the board of directors. To tackle this question, we analyzed the mediating and moderating relationship of social media on the effect of board size in operating revenue (turnover). We studied the implications of the use of social media by the board members by using structural equation modeling (SEM). The data consisted of a random sample of 100 companies listed on the NASDAQ.
