Towards gauge coupling unification in left-right symmetric SU(3)c×SU(3)L×SU(3)R×U(1)X theories

We consider the possibility of gauge coupling unification within the simplest realizations of the $\mathrm{SU}(3{)}_{\mathrm{c}}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}\mathrm{SU}(3{)}_{\mathrm{L}}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}\mathrm{SU}(3{)}_{\mathrm{R}}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}\mathrm{U}(1{)}_{\mathrm{X}}$ gauge theory. We present a first exploration of the renormalization group equations governing the ``bottom-up'' evolution of the gauge couplings in a generic model with free normalization for the generators. University Selectivity and Employment : A Comparison between British and French Graduates

This comparative study looks at if the graduates from the more selective departments in the United Kingdom and France have better employment prospects than those from less selective ones. The departmental selectivity is indicated by the A-Level points score of the First Degree students in the United Kingdom and in France by the proportion of Maîtrise and DEA/DESS graduates who were in advance age wise at the Baccalauréat. We consider a parametric double phase Dirichlet problem. Using variational tools together with suitable truncation and comparison techniques, we show that for all parametric values [Formula: see text] the problem has at least three nontrivial solutions, two of which have constant sign. Also, we identify the critical parameter [Formula: see text] precisely in terms of the spectrum of the [Formula: see text]-Laplacian.

L’articolo intende affrontare uno studio iconografico sulle rappresentazioni più emblematiche della città di Agrigento nelle quali i viaggiatori del Grand Tour tentarono di catturare l’essenza di quei luoghi un tempo massima sacralità del culto pagano, successivamente divenuti meta di approfondimento culturale che ispirarono l’immaginazione di disegnatori e letterati giunti in Sicilia, già a partire dal XVII secolo, per completare gli studi universitari e annotare le proprie esperienze suggellandole in quelle che Platone definiva “le forme più alte e più vere di conoscenza: le idee” per poi raccontarle attraverso itinerari grafici.
