Since 1982, the Spanish historical town of Sagunto has hosted the festival of Sagunt a Escena, which celebrated its twenty-fifth season in 2008. Throughout these years, more than fifty Greek and Roman tragedies, comedies, and plays inspired by classical themes have been put on stage between the months of June and September. El presente estudio pretende resolver la controversia en torno a la identidad y procedencia del poeta Filóxeno, célebre ditirambógrafo del siglo V-IV a.C. Para ello, hemos recopilado todos los testimonios que citan a personajes con el nombre de Filóxeno desde la primera mención de Aristófanes. La investigación ha revelado que existen varios individuos con el mismo nombre y rasgos comunes. No obstante, el examen de estos testimonios revela la existencia de un único autor de ditirambos: Filóxeno de Citera. En este texto se analiza una docena de publicaciones que vieron la luz en 1931 y 1932 con el fin de averiguar los motivos por los que dicho asunto adquirió tanta importancia y de qué diversas maneras se utilizó el saber histórico de aquella época con el fin de justificar o de rechazar un ajuste de cuentas con el pasado.
How representative are referendums? Evidence from 20 years of Swiss referendums

Direct democracy allows citizens to reverse decisions made by legislatures and even initiate new laws which parliaments are unwilling to pass, thereby, as its proponents argue, leading to more representative policies than would have obtained under a purely representative democracy. Yet, turnout in referendums is usually lower than in parliamentary elections and tends to be skewed towards citizens of high socio-economic status. Consequently, critics of direct democracy argue that referendum outcomes may not be representative of the preferences of the population at large. The Car Resequencing Problem with Pull-Off Tables

AbstractThe car sequencing problem determines sequences of different car models launched down a mixed- model assembly line. To avoid work overloads of workforce, car sequencing restricts the maximum occurrence of labor-intensive options, e.g., a sunroof, by applying sequencing rules. We consider this problem in a resequencing context, where a given number of buffers (denoted as pull-off tables) is available for rearranging a stirred sequence. The problem is formalized and suited solution procedures are developed. A lower bound and a dominance rule are introduced which both reduce the running time of our graph approach. Finally, a real-world resequencing setting is investigated.

Šī darba mērķis bija analizēt dekongestantu preparātu apgrozījumu trīs Rīgas aptiekās laikā periodā 01.02.2016 līdz 30.01.2017, un noteikt dekongestantu preparātu apgrozījuma raditājus. Ar anketēšanas palīdzību tika noskaidrotas pacientu zināšanas par dekongestantu preparātiem un to kādi ir galvenie izvēles kritēriji, izvēloties dekongestanta preparātu. En el presente trabajo se presentan los resultados preliminares de las intervenciones arqueologicas de salvamento realizadas sobre el yacimiento andalusi denominado Alfar de la Partida de la Rosana descubierto en el ano 2005. Se trata de un taller de produccion ceramica musulman localizado en el margen izquierdo del rio Palancia, al norte de la localidad de Sagunto (Valencia, Espana) datado preliminarmente en torno a los siglos X y XI, en base a las producciones que amortizan las estructuras decombustion. Este yacimiento ofrece un gran potencial desde el punto de vista cientifico ya que hasta el momento pocos eran los datos arqueologicos que se tenian sobre la ocupacion islamica de Sagunto.…
