Kinetics of correlated annealing of radiation defects in alkali halide crystals
1992
Abstract Kinetics of the correlated annealing of pairs of neutral (F-H) Frenkel defects in the KBr crystal is treated theoretically, taking into account defect diffusion, and annihilation at short distances stimulated by an elastic interaction. It is shown that an elastic interaction affects the annealing kinetics and the survival probability of close geminate detects considerably. The widespread description of the correlated annealing in terms of a first-order reaction fails for close defects yielding effective energies which in fact differ essentially from an activation energy of diffusion. Ea, even if it is corrected by an interaction energy. The effect of the initial distribution of def…
The peculiarities of colour centre production in doped alkali halides
1996
The peculiarities of colour centre production and recombination in KBr, KI crystals doped with Tl, In are examined. The photostimulated dopant ion luminescence (PSL response) follows that of the F-centre production in the subnanosecond time range. It is concluded that the radiation defects in a doped crystal are spatially distributed in the near vicinity of the dopants. To a limited extent the photo- and thermostimulated defect recombination also takes place near the dopant.
Controlled Synthesis of CdSe Tetrapods with High Morphological Uniformity by the Persistent Kinetic Growth and the Halide-Mediated Phase Transformati…
2012
We report scalable controlled synthesis of CdSe tetrapods with high morphological uniformity based on the continuous precursor injection (CPI) approach with halide ligands. The CPI approach involves the successive injection of precursors into the seed solution at a controlled rate so that the reaction condition remains in the kinetic growth regime. To initiate the successful development of tetrapod structure, the controlled amount of halide ligands are added during the reaction, which triggered the formation of wurtzite arms on {111}-facets of the zincblende seeds. The formation of the wurtzite phase is responsible for the halide-mediated displacement of oleate ligands, destabilizing the em…
<title>Shallow electron traps in alkali halide crystals: Mollwo-Ivey relations of the optical absorption bands</title>
2001
Evidences are given that two classes of the transient IR- absorption bands: (a) with max. at 0.27-0.36 eV in NaCl, KCl, KBr, KI and RbCl (due to shallow electron traps according G. Jacobs or due to bound polarons according E.V. Korovkin and T.A. Lebedkina) and (b) with max. at 0.15-0.36 eV in NaI, NaBr, NaCl:I, KCl:I, RbCl:I and RbBr:I (due to on-center STE localized at iodine dimer according M. Hirai and collaborators) are caused by the same defect- atomic alkali impurity center [M+]c0e- (electron e- trapped by a substitutional smaller size alkali cation impurity [M+]c0). The Mollwo-Ivey plots (for the transient IR-absorption bands) of the zero-phonon line energy E0 (for NaCl, KCl, KBr, Rb…
<title>Primary radiation defect formation in silver halides</title>
1998
Under irradiation the formation of primary intrinsic defects in silver halide solid solutions AgBr1-xClx take place via strong exciton-phonon interaction. Efficiency of these defects formation depend on solid solution composition and within 0 <EQ x <EQ 0.15 dependence on temperature was observed too. Estimation shows efficiency of defects creation is approximately 0.01 for AgCl and noticeably higher for AgBr.© (1998) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering. Perovskite CH3NH3PbI3–XClx Solar Cells. Experimental Study of Initial Degradation Kinetics and Fill Factor Spectral Dependence
2021
The main drawback of the methylammonium lead halide perovskite solar cells is their degradation in ambient atmosphere. To investigate ambient-air-induced cell degradation, spec-tral dependencies of open-circuit voltage (VOC), fill factor (FF) and the power conversion effi-ciency (PCE) have been acquired (for the first time reported in literature). Our custom-made measurement system allowed us to perform measurements of the above-mentioned entities in situ directly in vacuum during and after thermal deposition of the elec-trode. We also studied how these parameters in vacuum changed after cell exposure to ambient air for 85 min (50 nm top electrode) and for 180 min (100 nm top Ag electrode).…
Template-controlled assembly of ditopic catechol phosphines: a strategy for the generation of complexes of bidentate phosphines with different bite a…
2008
A rational approach to the synthesis of heterobi- or -trimetallic complexes based upon self-assembly of a flexible ditopic catechol-phosphine ligand with [(cod)PdCl(2)] and simple metal halides such as GaCl(3), BiCl(3), SnCl(4), or ZrCl(4) is described. All products were characterized by spectroscopic and analytical data and single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The molecular structures can be described in terms of cis-configured palladium complexes with supramolecular bisphosphine ligands that are formed by the assembly of two phosphine catecholate fragments on a main group/transition metal template. Of particular interest are the distinct decreases in P-Pd-P bite angles and P...P dist…
Catalytic Efficiency of a New Tridentate Ferrocenyl Phosphine Auxiliary: Sonogashira Cross-Coupling Reactions of Alkynes with Aryl Bromides and Chlor…
2005
[structure: see text] The catalytic activity in Sonogashira cross-coupling reactions of alkynes with a variety of aryl halides (including chlorides) using a multidentate ferrocenyl phosphine is presented. The novel mixed ferrocenyl aryl/alkyl triphosphine is thermally stable and insensitive to air or moisture, and its robustness allows aryl alkynylation at 10(-1) to 10(-4) mol % catalyst loadings with TONs up to 250,000. Copper-free coupling using phenylacetylene is also accessible in good yield.
Copper(I) Iodide Polyphosphine Adducts at Low Loading for Sonogashira Alkynylation of Demanding Halide Substrates: Ligand Exchange Study between Copp…
2010
The prestabilization of copper iodide with a multidentate ferrocenyl phosphine ligand promotes the palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling of demanding halides with phenylacetylene in a selective way. Novel CuI-triphosphine adducts are described in the solid state and in solution. Their use allowed the introduction of the copper iodide cocatalyst in unprecedented low amounts (0.4 to 0.1 mol %) in systems also employing low amounts of “ligand-free” [PdII(η3-allyl)Cl]2 precursor (0.2 to 0.05 mol %). The scope of substrates is reported, and electronically or sterically deactivated bromides were efficiently coupled. Concerning aryl chlorides, electron-poor activated substrates were also coupled usin…
