The authors present their expertise in the treatment of acquired spasticity of the upper extremity in adults, illustrating the basics of modern functional surgery, which benefits from the achievements in bioengineering and information technology and new surgical techniques. Moreover close cooperation between the physical therapist and surgeon is essential in planning a new treatment scheme which, when possible, may successfully strengthen and optimize the function control of the remaining extremity, thus overriding the old concept of merely correcting the deformity. Darbs sastāv no ievada, teorētiskās, praktiskās daļas, nobeiguma un pielikuma. Teorētiskajā daļā tiek analizēta literatūra par handbolu un minihandbolu. Kā arī par skolēnu vecumposmiem, sīkāk pievēršot uzmanību pusaudžiem. Praktiskajā daļa ir apkopoti Latvijas handbola treneru aptauju rezultāti, sīkāk apskaidrots, kas ir integrēšana un kā tā tika veikta diplomdarba ietvaros Rīgas vidusskolā, kas ir atspoguļota ar darba autora izveidotajiem testiem.

A Polygenic Risk Score for Hand Grip Strength Predicts Muscle Strength and Proximal and Distal Functional Outcomes among Older Women

Purpose Hand grip strength (HGS) is a widely used indicator of overall muscle strength and general health. We computed a polygenic risk score (PRS) for HGS, and examined, whether it predicted muscle strength, functional capacity and disability outcomes. Methods Genome-wide association study summary statistics for HGS from the Pan-UK Biobank was utilized. PRSs were calculated in the Finnish Twin Study on Aging (N = 429 women, 63–76 years). Strength tests included HGS, isometric knee extension, and ankle plantar flexion strength. Voice traffic bicasting enhancements in mobile HSPA network

This paper discusses methods for improving the effectiveness of delivering voice traffic over High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) network by employing transmission diversity with Single-Frequency Dual-Cell (SF-DC) Aggregation that is part of the Multiflow specification. SF-DC Aggregation allows the user to be served at the same time by two different cells.
