Does Capital Structure Influence Company Profitability?

Abstract Every company has a different structure of balance sheet. Some of the companies have more liabilities than equity. Considering the industry or debt-to-equity ratio, the balance sheet structure affects the company profitability measured by DuPont system. The main objective of the paper is to analyze the structure of balance sheet and to identify some optimal levels in order to increase company profitability. Photochemical Functionalization of Allyl Benzoates by C-H Insertion

The photoreactivity of allyl benzoates, containing an electron-rich double bond, has been explored by irradiation at 305 nm in different solvents. Solvent addition products arising from an insertion of the alpha H–C bonds of THF, dioxane, and i-PrOH to the allylic double bond was realized. The observed reactivity depended on reaction conditions and substitution pattern of the substrate. A DFT study on this unusual reaction was performed allowing the formulation of two mechanistic pathways.
Crystal structure and Hirshfeld surface analysis of (E)-3-(benzylideneamino)-5-phenylthiazolidin-2-iminium bromide

The central thiazolidine ring of the title salt, C16H16N3S+center dot Br-, adopts an envelope conformation, with the C atom bearing the phenyl ring as the flap atom. In the crystal, the cations and anions are linked by N-H center dot center dot center dot Br hydrogen bonds, forming chains parallel to the b-axis direction. Hirshfeld surface analysis and two-dimensional fingerprint plots indicate that the most important contributions to the crystal packing are from H center dot center dot center dot H (46.4%), C center dot center dot center dot H/H center dot center dot center dot C (18.6%) and H center dot center dot center dot Br/Br center dot center dot center dot H (17.5%) interactions.
Hafnium-neodymium isotope evidence for enhanced weathering and tectonic-climate interactions during the Late Cretaceous

<p>Over million-year timescale the carbon cycle evolution is driven by mantle CO<sub>2</sub> degassing (source) and by continental weathering that drawdowns atmospheric CO<sub>2</sub> through silicate weathering reactions (sink). Based on a novel geochemical proxy of chemical weathering intensity (i.e. using measurements of Hf and Nd isotope ratios in clay-size fractions of sediments) and clay mineralogy, we discuss the links between tectonic, continental weathering and climate evolution during the late Cretaceous. In the context of limited resources of a public hospital, constrained by rigid regulations and lowcapacity to invest in the purpose of satisfying the raising needs of the patients, the health facilityembraced the solutions to partner with an NGO. In partnership with Association of Psychiatric Hospital Dr. Gheorghe Preda Sibiu (ASPPS) alarge number of projects have been developed. The projects aimed to create new means andmethods for complementary and ocupational therapy and to ensure a friendly and suportiveenvironement for the patients. With rather modest financial resources but maximum eficiency and voluntary work, manymodern facilities were created, some even in premiere.
