Vēsturiskās onomastikas maģistra darba „Uzvārdu maiņa Latvijā 20. gs. sākumā (1921–1927)” mērķis ir apzināt un analizēt laika posmā no 1921. gada līdz 1927. gadam mainītos uzvārdus, noskaidrot to daudzumu un etimoloģiski semantiskās grupas, izmantojot koncentrēto personvārdu klasifikāciju, lai izprastu uzvārdu maiņas tendences. Veicot pētījumu, ir apkopots noteiktā laika posma uzvārdu maiņu saraksts, kas izmantojams tālākai pētniecībai. Apzinot apstrādātos datus, ir izpētīts, ka biežāk mainīti faunas semantikas uzvārdi, bet, izvēloties jaunos uzvārdus, dota priekšroka floras un fizioģeogrāfiskas semantikas personvārdiem, tādējādi var secināt, ka vairāki faunas semantikas, kā arī personu rak…
Trust in Finnish Education: A Historical Perspective

This article analyzes the origins of generalized trust in Finnish society and how this relates to trust in education. The study was based on a historical analysis of the role of education in building a Finnish society and nation state. The author discusses the development of a Nordic welfare state and analyzes the relationships between generalized trust and education from the perspectives of democracy, corruption, egalitarian attitudes, wealth, and culture. Centrum, peryferie i zależność ścieżkowa. Interpretacja teorii Immanuela Wallersteina w kategoriach path dependence

Artykuł przedstawia zastosowanie koncepcji zależności ścieżkowej (path dependence) do analizy wybranych trajektorii rozwojowych krajów (gospodarek), które zostały omówione przez Immanuela Wallersteina w pracach na temat nowoczesnego systemu-świata. W tekście zaprezentowano podstawowe założenia zależności ścieżkowej jako zjawiska oraz jako koncepcji pozwalającej na interpretację związków przyczynowo-skutkowych w rozwoju technologii oraz w bardziej złożonych opisach rozwoju społeczno-historycznego. Następnie szczegółowej analizie poddano trzy wybrane przypadki trajektorii gospodarek w okresie powstawania nowoczesnego systemu-świata: Polski, Wenecji i Anglii.
