Differentiation of Self-Assessment and objective Inequalities in the Level of Consumption of Rural Households

Niniejszy artykuł jest poświęcony problematyce samooceny nierówności poziomu konsumpcji na wsi w Polsce jako podstawowej determinanty poziomu życia. Celem zaprezentowanych w nim badań była próba identyfikacji zróżnicowania subiektywnych ocen poziomu życia gospodarstw domowych na wsi oraz porównania ich z wybranymi obiektywnymi charakterystykami sytuacji materialnej tych podmiotów. Jako najbardziej reprezentatywny wskaźnik sytuacji materialnej gospodarstwa domowego przyjęto poziom wydatków konsumpcyjnych. L’opération de diagnostic archéologique « 9, rue du Château » à Magny-sur-Tille s’est déroulée du 12 au 14 février 2018. La principale occupation détectée lors de l’opération consiste en une maison forte de la période moderne, déjà largement documentée par les sources écrites et planimétriques anciennes ainsi que par un diagnostic réalisé en 2007 avant la construction d’une maison individuelle. Le quart SO de l’établissement a été appréhendé. Trois phases ont pu être mises en évidence.
Do gender wage differences within households influence women's empowerment and welfare? : Evidence from Ghana

Using household data from the latest wave of the Ghana Living Standards Survey, this paper utilizes machine learning techniques – IV LASSO – that allows for the treatment of unconfoundedness in the selection of observables and unobservables to examine the structural effect of gender wage differences within households on women's empowerment and welfare in Ghana. The structural parameters of the IV LASSO estimations show that a reduction in household gender wage gap significantly enhances women's empowerment. From the Metropolitan Areas to the Post-metropolitan Dimension

This chapter introduces a description of the two main areas that will be discussed throughout the book: the metropolitan region of Palermo and South-Eastern Sicily. The chapter starts with a socio-economic analysis describing the characteristics of demography, employment and income in these two parts of Sicily, by comparing them to the situation of other areas in Italy. A spatial analysis of housing and land use complements the socio-economic outlook. Each section describes the most consolidated trends in these areas, but also discusses the most innovative changes and the challenges Sicily has been facing over the years.

Artykuł dotyczy problematyki nierówności poziomu zaspokojenia potrzeby mieszkaniowej na wsi w Polsce, jako podstawowej determinanty poziomu życia. Celem zaprezentowanych w nim badań jest identyfikacja zróżnicowania sytuacji mieszkaniowej oraz subiektywnych ocen gospodarstw domowych na wsi i porównanie ich z wybranymi obiektywnymi charakterystykami sytuacji materialnej tych podmiotów.
