Ku wspólnej wizji Kościoła - ; nowy dokument komisji "wiara i ustrój"
2015
The article presents the new document of the Commission “Faith and Order” of the World Council of Churches, which was released under the title The Church: Towards a Common Vision . The document is declared to be an ecumenical agreement of high importance. In the first chapter works have been displayed which preceded the document, the second point highlights its structure and the last one scrutinizes its important contents. Author focuses on the trinity nature of Church and its unity, on the unity of Christians which has been considered both as a gift of the Triune God and a task for Christians, on the teaching on Church as the sacrament of salvation, on the Church’s concern for creation, on…
Binding analysis of Bacillus thuringiensis Cry1 proteins in the sugarcane borer, Diatraea saccharalis (Lepidoptera: Crambidae).
2015
Sugarcane borer (Diatraea saccharalis, F.) is an important corn pest in South America and United States. The aim of the present study was to analyze the susceptibility and binding interactions of three Cry1A proteins and Cry1Fa in a Brazilian D. saccharalis population. The results showed that Cry1Ab was the most active, followed by Cry1Ac, Cry1Fa and Cry1Aa. All Cry1-biotinylated proteins tested bound specifically to the D. saccharalis brush border membrane vesicles (BBMV). Heterologous competition assays showed shared binding sites for all Cry1A proteins and another one shared by Cry1Fa and Cry1Ab. Thus, pyramiding Cry1Aa/Cry1Ac and Cry1F proteins would be a recommended strategy for managi…
Data from: Personality, immune response and reproductive success: an appraisal of the pace-of-life syndrome hypothesis
2018
The pace-of-life syndrome (POLS) hypothesis is an extended concept of the life-history theory that includes behavioural traits. The studies challenging the POLS hypothesis often focus on the relationships between a single personality trait and a physiological and/or life-history trait. While pathogens represent a major selective pressure, few studies have been interested in testing relationships between behavioural syndrome, and several fitness components including immunity. The aim of this study was to address this question in the mealworm beetle, Tenebrio molitor, a model species in immunity studies. The personality score was estimated from a multidimensional syndrome based of four repeat…
Anti-inflammatory activity in mice of extracts from Mediterranean marine invertebrates.
1998
The effects of dichloromethane and methanol extracts from the marine invertebrates Leptogorgia ceratophyta, Holothuria tubulosa, Coscinasterias tenuispina and Phallusia fumigata on carrageenan-induced paw oedema in mice were investigated. The dichloromethane extract of Coscinasterias tenuispina and the methanol extract of Holothuria tubulosa administered p.o. at 50, 100 and 150 mg/kg, inhibited oedema in a dose-dependent manner 3 h after administration of carrageenan. Both extracts partially decreased elastase activity and PGE2 levels measured in homogenates from inflamed paws, without affecting the levels of this prostanoid present in stomach homogenates. As observed with the selective inh…
Association of Dunbar, May-Thurner and Nutcracker Compression Syndromes in One Patient
2020
Abstract We report a case of Dunbar syndrome, May–Thurner syndrome and Nutcracker syndrome diagnosed in one patient with clinical presentation and imaging findings on Doppler ultrasonography. Dunbar syndrome or truncus coeliacus compression syndrome is an under-diagnosed vascular compression syndrome with a lot of controversy around it because of insufficient differentiation from celiac artery stenosis. May–Thurner syndrome or iliac vein compression syndrome is an anatomically variable condition of venous outflow obstruction caused by extrinsic compression by the right common iliac artery as it crosses the iliac vein anteriorly. In Nutcracker syndrome due to compression the outflow from the…
Safety and tolerability of omalizumab
2009
Summary Background Omalizumab (Xolair®) is a recombinant humanized monoclonal anti-IgE antibody with proven efficacy in patients with moderate-to-severe and severe persistent allergic (IgE-mediated) asthma. Objective To review clinical study data to assess the safety profile of omalizumab. Methods We analysed the safety of omalizumab using data from completed clinical studies (up to 1 year) involving more than 7500 patients with asthma, rhinitis or related conditions and up to 4 years in one study of patients with severe allergic asthma, as well as post-marketing safety data. Analysis focuses on the risk of immune-system effects, hypersensitivity reactions, malignant neoplasia, parasitic in…
Kirker, korona og nettbaserte gudstjenester
2021
2016
Pope Francis in the bull Misericordiae vultus encouraged to reflect on the meaning of God’s mercy in human history and the practice of Christian charity in life. According to the papal encouragement this article reflects on the content of the notion of God’s mercy. It focuses on these aspects which proved to be essential in the papal bull. The analyses performed are made from a theological perspective; they are therefore an attempt of interpretation, justification, and systematization of the content of the papal statements about mercy. They focus on three main themes present in the papal reflection: God’s mercy is being considered in trinitological, christological and ecclesiological aspect…
Un dialogue entre l'humain et le divin. Les paroles monumentales à Saint-Clément (1118) et à Sainte-Marie-du-Transtévère (v. 1143) à Rome
2019
The textual formulas inscribed in the basilical decors of San Clemente and Santa Maria in Trastevere at Rome, encourage to think about the presence, the power and the significance of the voice in ecclesial spaces. Unrolled on phylacteries or inscribed in gold letters on apsidal conch, the words from sacred texts, but also the legends and the dedications aim to establish the auctoritas of the visual discourse. Perpetuated voices of the prophets, apostles, of Christ and the Church take part in the monumentality of the decor. These inscribed voices animate and update the decor at the rythme of liturgies. We propose to consider these inscriptions as crystallization of historic contexts. The Chu…
