Recognition of Cardiac Arrhythmia by Means of Beat Clustering on ECG-Holter Recordings

The follow-up of some cardiac diseases may be achieved by ECG-holter record analysis. A heartbeat clustering method can be used to reduce the usually high computational cost of such Holter analysis. This study describes a method aimed at cardiac arrhythmia recognition based on this approach, by means of unsupervised inspection of morphologically similar heartbeat groups. Two anti-inflammatory principles were isolated from the methanol extract of the leaves of Erythrospermum monticolum (Flacourtiaceae). The isolation was based on a guided bioassay of the inhibitory activity on TPA-induced ear edema in mice. These compounds were identified as quercetin 3-O-xylosyl(1-->2) rhamnoside and quercetin 3-O-rhamnoside. In addition, their effects on a chronic topic inflammation model were evaluated.

A monoclonal antibody was obtained by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells with splenocytes isolated from Balb/c mice, which had been immunized with diacetoxyscirpenol-hemiglutarate (DAS-hemiglutarate) and verrucarol-hemiglutarates covalently bound to ethylenediamine-modified bovine serum albumin. The anti-DAS-antibody that could be induced was of the IgM type with kappa-chains.
