In this work, we investigate numerically the propagation of Lamb waves in a film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR) structure formed by piezoelectric ZnO layer sandwiched between two Mo electrodes coupled with Bragg reflectors; the system is thus considered as a phononic-crystal (PnC) plate. The aim is to suppress the first-order symmetric Lamb wave mode considered as a spurious mode caused by the establishment of a lateral standing wave due to the reflection at the embedded lateral extremities of the structure; this spurious mode is superposing to the main longitudinal mode resonance of the FBAR. Low complexity digital background calibration algorithm for the correction of timing mismatch in time-interleaved ADCs

Abstract A low-complexity post-processing algorithm to estimate and compensate for timing skew error in a four-channel time-interleaved analog to digital converter (TIADC) is presented in this paper, together with its hardware implementation. The Lagrange interpolator is used as the reconstruction filter which alleviates online interpolator redesign by using a simplified representation of coefficients. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can suppress error tones for input signal frequency from 0 to 0.4 f s . This inventory already includes approximately one hundred completed index cards intended for publication. Three sites are presented here: an administrative city center, Autun (Saône-et-Loire), and two secondary cities, Vertault (Côte-d’Or) and Pierre-de-Bresse (Saône-et-Loire). Earthquakes around the world are unnecessarily lethal and destructive, adversely affecting the health and well-being of affected populations. Most immediate deaths and injuries are caused by building collapse, making search and rescue (SAR) an early priority. In this review, we assess the SAR response to earthquake disasters. First, we review the evidence for the majority of individuals being rescued locally, often by relatives and neighbours. We then summarise evidence for successful live rescues by international SAR (ISAR) teams, along with the costs, ethics and other considerations of deployment. Between 2008 and 2011, the head of 150 Euthynnus alletteratus (Osteichthyes: Scombridae) caught inshore off the southeastern Iberian coast (western Mediterranean Sea) were examined for parasites. Two monogeneans, four didymozoid trematodes and four copepods were found. Parasite abundance showed a positive relationship with the annual sea surface temperature, except for Pseudocycnus appendiculatus, but negative with the sea depth (Capsala manteri, Neonematobothrium cf. kawakawa and Caligus bonito).
