Recovering a variable exponent

We consider an inverse problem of recovering the non-linearity in the one dimensional variable exponent $p(x)$-Laplace equation from the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map. The variable exponent can be recovered up to the natural obstruction of rearrangements. The main technique is using the properties of a moment problem after reducing the inverse problem to determining a function from its $L^p$-norms.
Non-homogeneous Dirichlet problems with concave-convex reaction

The variational methods are adopted for establishing the existence of at least two nontrivial solutions for a Dirichlet problem driven by a non-homogeneous differential operator of p-Laplacian type. A large class of nonlinear terms is considered, covering the concave-convex case. In particular, two positive solutions to the problem are obtained under a (p -1)-superlinear growth at infinity, provided that a behaviour less than (p -1)-linear of the nonlinear term in a suitable set is requested.

Kriptovalūtu tirgus nestabilitātes dēļ, pašam prognozēt, kā notiks vērtību svārstības ir gandrīz neiespējami. Tāpēc šajā darbā tiks apskatītas vairākas metodes, ar kuru palīdzību prognozēs dažādu kriptovalūtu vērtību tuvākajā nākotnē, izmantojot mākslīgos neironu tīklus. Darba mērķis ir salīdzināt dažādas metodes, kā analizēt kriptovalūtu datus un noteikt to vērtību tuvākajā nākotnē, balstoties gan uz dažādu kriptovalūtu vēsturisko informāciju, gan uz sociālā tīkla Twitter ierakstiem. Trenējot neironu tīklus, kuram tiek padoti sociālo tīklu dati apvienojumā ar kriptovalūtu informāciju, tika sasniegts pat 10%-15% pieaugums prognozēšanas precizitātei, salīdzinot ar parastu kriptovalūtu vēstur…

Highlights • We characterise Sas3p and Gcn5p active HAT complexes in WT and deleted TAP-strains. • We confirm that Pdp3p interacts with NuA3, histones and chromatin regulators. • Pdp3p MS-analysis reveals its phosphorylation, ubiquitination and methylation. • Sas3p can substitute Gcn5p in acetylation of histone H3K14 but not of H3K9. • Genome-wide profiling of Sas3p supports its involvement in transcriptional elongation.

Onion (Allium cepa L.) is an important bulb crop grown worldwide. Dormancy in bulbous plants is an important physiological state mainly regulated by a complex gene network that determines a stop of vegetative growth during unfavorable seasons. Limited knowledge on the molecular mechanisms that regulate dormancy in onion were available until now. In this large-scale study, higher education teachers’ (n = 1028) descriptions of their own learning are examined with quantitative analyses. The study follows up an earlier qualitative study that, using a phenomenographic approach, identified four different ways in which teachers at Finnish universities of applied sciences described their own learning. The purpose of the present study was to find out how teachers’ descriptions were divided into the categories formed in the previous study and to examine whether teachers’ descriptions of their learning differ according to their position, gender and age. La colmena novela y La colmena filme son dos géneros narrativos cuyos procesos de textualización, si bien remiten a la misma historia, difieren entre sí. Por su parte, en la película, el relato cinematográfico opera narrativa y descriptivamente a partir de la secuenciación de imágenes en las que coexisten entre otros elementos: acción, espacios, movimiento y diálogos de personajes. El resultado es una concreción de la historia dada en forma multimodal. En la novela todo es verbal, discursivo: la textualización es una sucesión de formas lingüísticas con poder evocador.
