Increasing Yield and Antioxidative Performance of Litchi Pericarp Procyanidins in Baked Food by Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction Coupled with Enzymatic…
2018
Extraction with organic solvents is a traditional method to isolate bioactive compounds, which is energy-wasting and time-consuming. Therefore, enzyme and ultrasound treatments were combined to assist the extraction of oligomeric procyanidins from litchi pericarp (LPOPC), as an innovative approach to replace conventional extraction methods. Under optimum conditions (enzyme concentration 0.12 mg/mL, ultrasonic power 300 W, ultrasonic time 80 min, and liquid/solid ratio 10 mL/g), the yield of LPOPC could be improved up to 13.5%. HPLC analysis indicated that the oligomeric procyanidins (OPC) content of LPOPC from proposed extraction was up to 89.6%, mainly including (&minus
Structure‐ and Interaction‐Based Design of Anti‐SARS‐CoV‐2 Aptamers
2022
Aptamer selection against novel infections is a complicated and time-consuming approach. Synergy can be achieved by using computational methods together with experimental procedures. This study aims to develop a reliable methodology for a rational aptamer in silico et vitro design. The new approach combines multiple steps: (1) Molecular design, based on screening in a DNA aptamer library and directed mutagenesis to fit the protein tertiary structure; (2) 3D molecular modeling of the target; (3) Molecular docking of an aptamer with the protein; (4) Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of the complexes; (5) Quantum-mechanical (QM) evaluation of the interactions between aptamer and target with …

Concevoir un living book en sciences humaines et sociales : retour d’expérience
2020
The “living book”, a new format from the Life Sciences, made it possible to take stock of a subject, to highlight a corpus of images, an advanced research and a bibliography. This hybrid, Web-oriented format is re-positioning the producer, the user and the technology. In a simple, lean and rigorous apparatus, it allows to organise a diverse and growing mass of documentation (texts, images, audio, websites). It proposes new ways of writing (collaboration, short texts, summaries) and structuring the contents. It promotes networking and contacts with libraries and museums while drawing attention to formats, licences and rights. It suggests individualised reading paths, reaching diverse audienc…

Bel-Air, Sénas (Bouches-du-Rhône) : a Late Neolithic open-air settlement site on the eastern foot-slopes of the Massif des Alpilles. Preliminary resu…
2014
This article is the first presentation of the excavation results following the developer-led archaeological project carried out between July and August 2012 at the site of Bel-Air, Sénas, Bouches-du-Rhône. Our current understanding of the diverse archaeological remains show that a densely occupied settlement existed within a relatively short-lived period during the second phase of the Late Neolithic in Provence, between 2880 and 2490 BC. The occupation is characterised by several phases of activity, which are at this stage of research, difficult to refine, but all of them being associated with the Couronnien group.
Ubiquitous Learning in Appropriate Learning Environments
2018
This article concentrates on blended learning study module that was carried out in class teachers’ adult education. It offered the students versatile, unique, individual and communal possibilities to fully study in authentic contextual environments, exploiting virtual tools. The goal of the planning of this module was to create a learning environment that would give a student an optimal learning experience in versatile, authentic, e-learning environments. In the study, the ubiquitous learning model was tried out in a 6 credits’ study module for class teachers’ adult education that was based on the principles of transformational pedagogy (OED). The module was carried out in flexible and vers…
Alignment of linear molecules by short duration laser pulses
2005
Alignment of linear molecules is efficiently induced by strong linearly polarized laser pulses. In the case of short pulses with respect to molecular rotation, periodic alignment appears in field-free conditions after the extinction of the field. This manuscript presents three techniques where the value of allows to quantify alignment without molecular dissociation nor additional alignment. They use a weak time-delayed probe pulse which experiences the optical properties of an aligned sample and shows modification of its characteristics. The first of them measures a depolarization due to the birefringence of the sample. The second one is based on the defocusing produced by the spatial distr…
