Some authors reports that most of the studies that measure image do not take into account neither previous theoretical and conceptual models nor other possible empirical evidence alternatives. Fundamental frequency of the female's voice: A cross-country empirical study on its influence on social and sexual selection

Recent studies demonstrate that voice (in particular, its fundamental frequency -Fo-) may influence on social and sexual selection. Here, we tested how the Fo of female's voice is related to different aspects of social and sexual selection through a novel experimental approach. First, we recorded and measured the Fo of 22 women reading a neutral text in Spanish language. Six of these voices were selected and classified into three categories: voices with a low Fo (225 Hz). Satisfaction and Destination Loyalty

ABSTRACT First-time and repeat tourists engage in different tourism experience with a destination. Based on previous studies, the main purpose of this research is to investigate how tourists' previous experience with a tourist destination influences on the satisfaction evaluation, destination loyalty and destination attractiveness. An empirical study is carried out among 806 tourists visiting Calpe, a Spanish tourist destination, in the summer of 2000. Research findings evidence that the level of satisfaction and the number of past visits considerably influence tourists' intentions to make repeat visits.

Tuning the field trip: audio-guided tours as a replacement for 1-day excursions in human geography

Educators are experiencing difficulties with 1-day field trips in human geography. Instead of teaching students how to apply theory in the field and learn to sense geography in everyday life, many excursions have degraded into tourist-like events where lecturers try to motivate rather passive students against a noisy urban backdrop. Although various (partly) student-led approaches have successfully addressed the issue, there are still a high number of tours that use a traditional, tutor-led model. Darbā izolētas baktērijas no dažādu rožu dzimtas augļkopības kultūru augu lapām, kuras identificētas ar 16S rRNS gēna sekvenēšanas metodi. Izmantojot šīs baktērijas kā saimniekkultūras, tika izolēti 10 jauni dsDNS bakteriofāgi. Vēlāk ar Cedecea davisae baktēriju izolātu kā saimnieku no notekūdeņu paraugiem tika izolēti vēl 13 fāgi. Tālākai izpētei tika izvēlēts jaunizdalītais Cedecea fāgs Yanou. Fāgs Yanou ir Autographiviridae dzimtai, Teseptimavirus ģintij piederošs lītisks podovīruss ar 40865 bp garu genomu. Tas ir otrs līdz šim zināmais Cedecea ģints fāgs un pirmais raksturotais Cedecea lītiskais podovīruss. Bakteriofāga Yanou pilnais anotētais genoms deponēts GenBank brīvpieejas datubāz…
