Classroom application of using visual stimuli in teaching and learning dynamics and pitch

Listening is a common activity in music lessons. It is difficult for teachers to know whether students are learning by listening. In this study, visual stimuli include imagery, metaphor, and symbols, were introduced to students in the experimental group to learn dynamics and pitch. A control group received the same lessons without any visual stimuli. Both groups received the same tests, pre-test and post-test, after the two lessons. Tests were divided into two parts including choosing the correct dynamic changes and distinguishing higher or lower pitch for the melody. International audience; Purpose: This double-blind study investigated the effects of vitamin and mineral complex supplementation on the neuromuscular function of the knee-extensor muscles after a prolonged trail running race. Methods: Twenty-two well-trained endurance runners took either placebo (Pl group) or vitamins and minerals (Vm group) for 21 d before the race and for 2 d after the race. Maģistra darbā ir veikta GARCH volatilitātes modelēšana četrām, pēc tirgus kapitalizācijas, lielākajām kriptovalūtām: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin un Ripple. Darba empīriskajā daļā, tiek veikta kriptovalūtu GARCH, TGARCH, EGARCH un PGARCH modelēšana un prognozēšana izmantojot normālo un stjūdenta t sadalījumus, aplūkojot laika periodu no 07.08.2015 līdz 27.03.2018. Labākais modelis tiek noteikts salīdzinot trīs modeļu informācijas kritērijus un modeļu prognozes novērtējumus. Kaut arī stjūdenta t sadalījuma izmantošana uzlaboja modeļu novērtējumu visām četrām kriptovalūtām, tomēr tas ne vienmēr uzlaboja modeļa prognozi. Effect of pH and nitrite concentration on nitrite oxidation rate

The effect of pH and nitrite concentration on the activity of the nitrite oxidizing bacteria (NOB) in an activated sludge reactor has been determined by means of laboratory batch experiments based on respirometric techniques. The bacterial activity was measured at different pH and at different total nitrite concentrations (TNO 2). The experimental results showed that the nitrite oxidation rate (NOR) depends on the TNO 2 concentration independently of the free nitrous acid (FNA) concentration, so FNA cannot be considered as the real substrate for NOB.
