The subject of this PhD dissertation is the historical reconstructions films produced in Romania under communist rule and more precisely between 1960 and 1989. L'articolo cerca altresì di mostrare che alcuni stereotipi riguardanti la Sicilia sono già saldamente istituiti nel Seicento e che questo territorio geografico è prevalentemente pensato attraverso il ricorso alla mitologia e al patrimonio culturale greco-latino.
